I found voltaxic burst after testing out spells I haven't played and really liked it. I tried making a build for it, and for the first time I managed to make a build that feels good for T16 clear. So I wanted to share since it's off meta and can handle AN and the current 3.19 changes.
I've been taking the league really slow so I haven't run a lot of the end game bosses yet, but it had no issues with Guardians, Searing, Eater, Elder, and mastermind. Everything else I have yet to run.
Defences:
The build is very tanky with lots of regen, GB + surrender, EB MoM. I can stand inside of a harbringer boss spawn or face tank 7+ essence mods. The only thing I need to be careful of is magma barrier and too many lightning mirages (can take 2-3).
DPS:
The build has about 900k shaper dps with everything up.
Less duration support isn't needed, but voltaxic burst feels much better with it. You can get more damage without it but there is a lot of downtime with damage. ~1 second skill duration feels good. Alternatively you can path to the less duration nodes but it's a big investment to get there.
You can also run RF for about 30% more dps but I like the regen to just stand inside of packs.
Playstyle:
For most content you can charge a few VBs, run into a pack, then hold VB until its cleared. Or just run it and facetank it all.
For dense/tanky packs with bad mods (expedition), charge as many VBs as possible, and shield charge through the pack to cascade the VB explosions as you move, then repeat.
Harvest is great because I can just stand on the plot and hold down VB until everything dies.
POB:
The build is not optimized. But clusters, and rare equipment were all self crafted. Still need to fix my implicits for gloves, and body though.

Overall it is by no means a top tier or even mid tier build but it is pretty fun. The skill is super underused due to the clunkiness of the delay between cast and damage.
