Welcome to my Arc Golem build for 3.23, in this section you will find any information you may need to access for league start, tips, swaps, and other general information
***** Leveling **********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
--- My typical early 3 link setup is Arc - Added Lightning Damage Support - Critical Strikes Support
--- My typical 4 link varies between Arc - Spell Echo - Inspiration Support - Critical Strikes Support OR Arc - Inspiration Support - Critical Strikes Support - Added Lightning Damage Support
--- The reason for this is running labs. Since Arc is a bit weaker in terms of damage early on, I find its best to run lab WITHOUT spell echo, this is especially the case if you plan to level with
Crackling Lance over Arc. The cast speed in the Acts just isnt high enough and Izaro (the lab boss) is constantly moving, jumping, throwing shit at you, etc. And since spell echo makes
you cast an addition time, it forces you to stand still, thus making you very vunerable to getting one shot by Izaro. When it comes to lab, id rather a slow run be completed than a fast run
having a chance at getting one shot.
ADVICE - DO NOT RUN SPELL ECHO FOR LAB RUNS (UNTIL UBER LAB WHEN YOUR CAST SPEED IS HIGH ENOUGH)
--- Our end game build runs purity of elements. One league start, you can either run this for more defenses and ailment immunity OR run wrath aura for extra damage. I leave this choice up
to the individual but for me personally, I will be running purity of elements as I really really really enjoy being ailment immune.
--- The leveling tree is broken down in a way that we are getting a mix of max health, dmg, and utility along the way. There mays be some points (espically early on) when lightning resist rares
will take forever to kill. I tend to skip those guys and just move on. We will also be taking crit nodes as well all through out the acts, so it can be a bit of a slow burn but you'll come into your
own as you progress through the acts.
---- Feel free to continue using Orb of Storms over Galvanic Field early on in the acts. We won't have a ton of crit early, therefore we won't be shocking a ton. Galvanic field works off of shocks
so it can feel a bit sluggish until we hit a certian point. I use it early becuse I love the skill and I like to slow burn feeling of progression. For those looking to zoom asap, orb of storms is the way
to go early on 100%.
--- ACENDENCY CHOICES ---
I tend to go for the the exsposure node first, then convergence and then my first golem node and save the last golem node for Uber. I do this because I prefer having more boss damage through the acts.
--- Even with clarity, I tend to always run a single mana flask during the acts and early mapping to just help if I really need it. Eventually this will not be the case.
--- Here are the gems you will need from the optional libirary quest in Act 3.
- Inspiration Support - 1 Orb of Chance
- Hypothermia Support - 1 Orb of Chance
***** Gearing **********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
--- The mods we are looking for on gear, as a BASELINE are as follows...
- Max Life
- Resist (chaos last)
- Cast Speed / Crit / Spell Damage / Flat lightning Damage
- Movement Speed (boots)
- Life Regen
Most of your gear early on will either be ES bases or hybrid ES/Armor. Eventually when I have the currency, I prefer to go full armor bases to help increase your phys. dmg. reduction.
Hybrid has its place to and if you find one with good mods, absolutely use it.
--- Alt Currency mods like eldrich/searing mods can be whatever youd like, generic max res, spell crit, damage or defense mods. I don't really concern myself with those mods until I get my end game
pieces and can really hone in on the mods I want to min/max. For now, just get something that looks decent and if possible....maybe try to get lightning exsposure on hit, thats never a bad thing.
--- Socket pressure is a bit tight and coloring should be very very straight forward and easy. We use mainly blue gems with the occasional red and green gems.
--- Youre hardest stat will 100% be Dexerity. You will have to craft dex one atleast one piece of gear to be able to start getting herald of ice online and don't be afraid to take a 30 Dexerity node on the skill
tree if you're finding it hard to maintain the dex requirements.
--- At a certain point early on you will need to start using a staff, as we are taking several nodes that are related to crit while weild a staff. By the time you hit maps, depending on how powerful your current
staff is I would recommend replacing it ASAP with the VERY VERY cheap option I have listed in the items section of this POB. This will really help boost you up early on and allow you to progess until
you can swap to our end game setup.
***** Mapping ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
--- WE CANNOT RUN ELEMENTAL REFLECT MAPS, no way around it. Just re-roll the map and be on the look out for this mod. Everything else is pretty much fair game but beware, crit/crit dmg mods, mods that
reduce your resistance and additional proj./chain can be EXTREMLY rippy until you get powerful enough to just one most everything. Run those mods with high caution early on.
