Hello Reddit. I'm a big lover of Divine Ire and a SSF only enjoyer. I've been playing Divine Ire almost exclusively since it was added to the game, theres just something about building around a huge beam that has the possibility to deal a lot of damage in one hit.
So i've recently spent a lot of time making my magnum opus Divine Ire build for SSF. And i think im quite happy with what i've come up with; https://pastebin.com/3ibHt7Zp
Thoughts and elaborations.
I believe going low life with petrified for pain attunement is an obvious choice, as well for righteous fire for that massive 39% more damage modifier. At which point i realized i could juice out a lot more damage if i combined eldritch battery and mind over matter since that allows me to pick up divine support linked to wrath and reserve the rest of my mana with zealotry which allows me to drop consecrated ground under bosses for that increased damage. Getting enough life regeneration will be a bit tricky early on so activating MoM, Eldritch, Righteous fire and divine support wrath isnt that viable until you've gained the prerequisite life regeneration and life on gear.
Next thing is to get cast rate to atleast 8+ casts per second; this will allow you to keep hitting bosses at max shock value, having 7 cast rate or lower in my experience tends to be too slow and frequently the 50% sho runs out before your next 20 stack hit, losing you massive amounts of damage.
Getting spell damage essence or simply dropping a nice staff with some spell damage or +2/3 lightning/physical skills is the next step, shouldnt take too long. And once thats complete you're set for the end game grind.
Few things to do after this point is to replace tabula; either by having a 5 link with cast speed support or a 6 link. Best case scenario at this point is that you've accumulated enough cast speed on all your items which allows you to replace cast speed support with conc effect for a massive damage boost!
My plan is to get my hands on The Annihilating Light to double my damage from 2.2m to 4.8m. Then drop heatshiver and replace my divine support wrath to divine support hatred to further increase my average damage to 6.2m and eventually drop 2 rings of the brotherhood to top off my damage at 10m with a spell damage staff with +3 lightning gems and a +1 skills amulet. (These damage numbers are calculated on lvl 20 divine ire and not 21, in which case damage increases from 2.4m>5.5m>6.9m>11.9m).
Now im not sure if its actually possible to have The Annihilating Light combined with Heatshiver and Rings of the Brotherhood as you'll have to have extremely well rolled resistances on the rest of your gear slots. But if i were to manage it the damage would be up to a massive 19 million!
There is also a lot of things you can do with cluster jewels as there are some massively good ones for this kind of build, but thats something i'll have to explore on another day. As for now i'll appreciate any feedback and critique as i think im fairly poor at noticing my own mistakes on pob.
