I've been working on this Icicle Miner for a few days now, and I'm surprised that no one seems to talk about this skill. The map clear is pretty fantastic, especially if you add some chains, and playing Deadeye with 1H + Shield solves a lot of the problems that people run into with the new Archnemesis rares. For example, I'm taking 45% less damage from degen puddles on the ground because DoTs don't take off Wind Ward. It is very easy to stay at 10 stacks of Tailwind to activate Wind Ward's maximum damage reduction because mines stack it up faster than anything. Then I have Ghost Dancer, Mistwall, and 100% suppression as extra layers of defense. The cold crits also crowd control the hell out of enemies when I don't just offscreen them. To top it off, I get to run super fast just for being a Deadeye, though I've also added a QotF to really crank up the movement speed.
The only issue right now is the single target damage, but that can be fixed in the future with a +2 gems chest and a DPS focused amulet to replace the Gloomfang I'm currently wearing for mapping. The build isn't nearly complete, and I've only invested like 10-15ex, but it's performing really well for me so far. Here's what my full mapping setup looks like.
