You always want to have steel shards when you attack with a Steel skill Different skills use different ammounts of shards Splitting - 1 Shattering - 2 Lancing - 4 Make sure your call of steel skill is on your bar in a comfortable place, you'll be hitting it a lot Unique Weapons to level with: Shiversting 14 Edge of Madness 22 Terminus Est 51 You should be able to get Splitting Steel right at level 2 when you enter the town. Shattering Steel is level 12 at merviel Lancing Steel is 28 at Gravicius Start with: Splitting steel Chance to Bleed Onslaught GRG ~~~~After Breaking some eggs add: Dash Ancestral Protector Warbanner - placing your banner can give you a burst of quick attacks and damage, REALLY good for bosses Molten Shell ~~~~After Brutus Leap Slam - Likely drop all Quicksilver flasks for Mana flasks, I like to use 2-3 Precision - try not to level this gem too much because it's reservation climbs with levels Enduring Cry (kinda nerfed, still nice) Maim Support (add to main link, replace Chance to Bleed) ~~~Merveil shattering steel at 12 It's better for single target, you might enjoy using it more than splitting steel Worst case just switch Shattering in for Splitting when you want to boss ~~~~A2 Add faster attacks to leap slam Blood rage Herald of Purity A3 Take Sniper's Mark (nice for beefy targets and when bossing with lancing steel this will allow you to easily clear out trash mobs) Impale Support War banner -> Dread Banner most of these skills have innate impale so it should be REALLY easy to hit 100% impale between ascendancy and support gem Lancing steel is amazing for single target, especially once you can add Greater Multiple Projectiles Support (GMP) !!!!!Note: if you're ever thinking 'my mana is really bad right now' then drop auras or improve your mana flasks.
