This build is likely far from the best use of this tech, but since my discovery of it was while I was looking for a way to use Eternal Youth and Kaom's Spirit without using Dissolution of the Flesh, thats what I built around. I may make an inquisitor or trickster with this tech soon tho.
The Eternal Youth tech mentioned in the title uses Wicked Ward and a Sudden Dawn Unique helmet to constantly regenerate 50% of max life per second without being interrupted by damage.
This works because Wicked Ward will allow ES recharge to keep functioning even through damage, so long as it had started recharging within the last four seconds. Sudden dawn will start ES recharge on kill, and Eternal Youth will convert the recharge to instead affect life. If you aren't killing things on a build that has a damage of 42 mil dps with just an exertion, then you're probably not near anything anyway. If you're bossing, dodge, pop flasks, then nuke it with .
Originally I thought I would need to carefully balance ES recharge rate against the downsides brought by Wicked Ward and Sudden Dawn, but Eternal Youth is apparently bugged, and only brings over "increased" or "decreased" mods, and not "more" or "less" mods. Since the Armor/ES mastery grants "Increases and reductions to armor also apply to ES recharge rate at 20% of their value", we are able to get slightly over 50% increased recharge rate on top of the base 33% ES recharge rate, for a total of 50% max life regen per second.
If the bug is fixed, the actual value would be closer to 14% regen per second, (or 25.2% if you are willing to change amulet anoint and take the DPS loss). Still very respectable numbers, but not quite as insane.
Now comes the part that's... less fun. This build requires both petrified blood and progenesis flask along with some 8 div forbidden jewels if you don't want to get randomly oneshot.
This build relies on a few uniques to function at all:
6L Skin of the Lords, with the Wicked Ward keystone, and either 4 red 2 blue sockets or six red sockets. Or an impossible escape for minion instability.
Sudden Dawn Helmet: See above.
Kaom's Sprit Gloves: RAGE FOR THE RAGE VORTEX. SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE.
The Interrogation Jewel: Brittle and Scorch are just too good to give up.
The following are optional uniques, but heavily enhance the build.
Bear's Girdle: 20 more rage means, quite literally, 25% MORE damage (25% of rage consumed, 5% more damage per rage consumed, 5*5% = 25%).
Progenesis: Very significant survival increase.
Bottled faith: A 23 million DPS upgrade.
6L Voidforge: The next best in slot rare sword is over 10 mil less DPS.
Redblade banner: Kept in offhand to instantly start with full rage at the start of a map, also handy to level gems.
Other things: You could ***absolutely*** use a sanctum invocation of wicked ward instead of a skin of the lords, and end up even tankier. I chose not to because I didnt want to and they won't be obtainable outside of this league.
