BUILD STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Strengths:
Massive Clear Speed
Immortal in maps
Very tanky against pinnacle mechanics too, mostly from near capped block just from the passive tree, armour, and endurance charges + fortify combined with fast recovery
Very easy to gear initially
Golems make the early game turn into easy-mode.
Can do all types of content, legion included.
New player friendly because of how tanky it is, you have room to make alot of mistakes to learn mechanics.
Cons:
Weak single target, the ele dmg has to roll high for the burn to feel Very good, otherwise average rolls lead to things feeling a little weak for bosses. Fixable with good flat damage abyss jewels or rolls on the ring and amulet.
Can not Fully tank hits that are Massive, if a hit is really big and it goes through block, you will survive it but if anything else hits you immediately after before your recovery can heal you up, dead. Very rare though only happens in pinnacle fights
Chaos damage, life pool isnt very massive, chaos golem helps with chaos resistance alot but getting closer to cap will make everything feel much safer. ES mastery for 30% chaos damage taken does not bypass is also nice
In the early stages prior to getting the sword, you need to keep upgrading your staff from the vendor or the ground. I will personally be using gold to gamble for new staffs every act. Will farm gold in heist. Video for that will be up soon (or maybe already is)
2nd Lab Swap:
Only do this swap after you have finished your 2nd lab using the levelling RF setup, and you have the gear ready. You need a Staff with flat damage rolls, phys or any element flat damage.
You can choose to stay as RF elementalist until later as well.
Make sure your warcries are Linked to autoexertion.
You only manually cast battlemage's cry for single target to get exposure and curses on your enemy.
You will play this setup all the way into early maps until you get your first big upgrade, the Rebuke of the Vaal Sword. Then you will swap your tree. This is a very cheap sword so buy it the moment you get a few chaos orbs.
Unique Sword Swap:
Now the build is going to change a bit. This sword will carry your damage into red maps.
The jewels on the tree are Primarily to fix resistances and attributes. If you have good res and attributes on your gear then refer to the desired mods at the bottom of these notes.
Focus heavily on getting the Helmet Implicit for mana reservation, and the Glove implicit for fire exposure on hit. Getting these 2 things will allow you to get rid of Wave of Conviction, and use Flesh and Stone as another defense aura.
Unique Sword 1 Cluster:
This is around the time when you are in red maps, you have eldritch implicits on your gear, and hopefully better jewels (please lol mine were so shit) and a 6L. 6 links should be very very easy to get using the Genesis Tree
I'll have a video covering the genesis tree as soon as the league goes live and I mess around with it.
Refer to the notes at the bottom for how to get primordial bond on your cluster. its VERY EASY DO NOT BE AFRAID OF CLUSTERS.
Initial Staff Endgame 1 Cluster:
Swap to this after the previous step, once you have all your eldritch implicits and gear, you want to upgrade your weapon to a big flat damage staff. We just need 3 flat damages on the prefix, suffixes dont matter.
Everything else about the gear is the same.
You do need 6 red sockets on your staff to make the best use of the %life staff mastery. I found the best way to do this is to Just use chromatic orbs normally, not with the bench. Surprisingly hits 5 reds very easily, you can settle with 5 reds and 1 blue.
To get all these to be Unlinked is harder to do. You need to get a 4 socket staff, and have the link be on the 3rd and 4th socket, then use the crafting bench to make it 2 socketed, these will be unlinked. then to upto 3 sockets with the bench
Then 4 sockets, then 5 sockets, if at any point this rng rolls a link, undo it and go again, until eventually you have a 6 socketed unlinked staff.
Only do this on the staff you'll be crafting up to the max, not worth it to do on sub par staffs.
There are also Runes socketed into masteries. Make sure to look at those, they add alot of extra damage and defense. They should be very cheap to get they're very common from kingsmarch.
This is where the progression of the build will hit the ultra budget wall. You can get better abyss jewels for upgrades, but thats all. The final version will require some uniques that I dont know the prices for, they arent Ultra expensive at all.
Mostly just 50-100 chaos at league start, maybe more depending on popularity. Refer to the video on when to swap to that endgame version.
There is no Loadout for the end end game version, it was Bugging out and I ran out of time to figure out how to fix it. Theres still a tree, a skill gem section, a config and a gear setting for that endgame 2 cluster staff setup. So just manually select it
Instead of using the loadouts. Thanks
GEAR ACQUISITION NOTES:
I will be farming Heist in act 6 to get ALOT of the gear required for this build. Trap Disarmament contracts have Abyss chests, as well as Gold chests (new ones that drop gold) I will use this to farm abyss jewels, a stygian vise
and use the gold to gamble for better gear. These contracts also have currency chests so they will be very nice to farm overall.
Contracts with unique rewards are Brute Force and Engineering, engineering is slow so I will be doing Brute Force to try to Target Farm a Rebuke of the vaal sword. This can only be done in contracts that are item lvl 64 or above.
Extra Notes:
All the gear is crafted using Screaming Essences of Woe. Not deafenings. Deafenings are great, but expensive, screamings should be very readily available and self farmable. Be sure to do this on the best bases:
Divine Crown
Sacred Chainmail
Paladin Gloves and Paladin Boots.
Before this, don't invest too much into your gear. Just use basic things as you'll end up needing to upgrade to these bases eventually.
For rings: Go with Ruby rings to get as much fire res as possible for way more regen.
Refer to the short crafting section of the video to understand the easiest way to craft all this both initially on bad bases, and then later on on the good bases.
Desired Mods on Abyss Jewels:
Flat Damage Mods
Energy Shield
%Increased damage if you've killed recently
Desired Mods on Non Abyss Jewel (This will be the one with Mana leech on it)
%Life
Fire Dot Multiplier
Damage over time Multiplier
Burning Damage
Damage over time
Fire damage
Ailments you inflict deal damage faster
There is no ultra cheap way to craft this initially, so just buy them off trade. Or if you are SSF, you can always alteration spam to get something.
