amitfris's Notes
Hey,
I'm currently playing a 2H uul-netul embrace bleeding gladiator. The damage is great and I clear everything really fast but I can die quickly as well doing one mistake...
I was thinking on an alternative approach which looks amazing. Basically, with the right gear, this guy is completely unbreakable. The idea is using Staves instead of Axes. I know, I know, axes are much more powerful so how do you make it powerful enough and still keep the tackiness.
This is an example of something I made (not there yet with the gear):
Basically, I will combine the bleeding and the blocks of the gladiator with the a little bit higher attack speed of the staves. Until now I had to invest in attack speed to get a reasonable speed. Now I won't need to. In addition, I can use Glancing Blows and Steelwood Stance to get maximum attack and spell block. I use the glancing blow together with Transcendance new keystone (timeless jewel). Now I know people will tell me that lowering my max res by 5 is deadly without Loreweave and they are probably wrong. With Glancing Blows and ~40-50K armor I won't have a problem to mitigate the difference in res.
But we still need to do damage right? And all we have is a staff. Until making an endgame BIS staff, we will be using disintegrator. With this staff we will do tons of damage and we will have additional 9% physical damage reduction which is important due to Transcendance. With the endurance charges and maybe also a wathcer's eye, we can reach almost 90% reduction without the armour. The base life regen + life leech + enduring cry + Soul of Arkaali will take care of the physical damage per second.
I'm using three war cries here and it's important that they will be fast. The cooldown is not such a big problem since we are adding Second Wind. So I start the fight, put my enduring cry and Sesmic cry, mostly for the knockback but also for the damage boost, and start killing. For bosses, I add the intimidating cry as well. They are almost instant in my setting.
With ~6K hp, 2K life leach and life reg from the enduring cry I think I will be okay.
