WORMBLASTER the Mth uses Manastorm to add flat damage to Herald of Ice which is otherwise very difficult to scale because it is "unaffected by spell modifiers." Manastorm is often unusable because its difficult to recover your entire mana pool in 4 seconds; however on a worm build, you can have reliable recovery from on-kill mechanics such as Trickster's Polymath.

The new support gem "Living Lightning," along with Mother's Embrace and Void Sphere of Rending, can put the entire process of sacrificing mana, summoning worms, and detonating the worms into a single cast.

It’s a worm build - it is, by definition, bait.
