Cobra Lash League Starter
Welcome guys! This will be my guide for Cobra lash deadeye league starter for the Mirage league 3.28.
The build will be updated almost daily until league start. I'll post logs if any major changes happen.
For any question at all you can find me here on league start:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This build uses Cobra Lash which has great clear speed thanks to it's high amount of chains and attack speed.
Defensively, the build can feel a bit squishy, especially without a shield. However, it is still tankier than a typical bow build.
In the late game this build will stack chains, and thanks to Follow-Through, our damage will be amplified remarkably.
You can also swap to Venom Gyre for stronger single target damage if you prefer.
-------- LOGS --------
Follow-Through passive from the medium clusters has been nerfed quite heavily, now the increased damage for each remaining chain caps are 100%. This is quite bad for endgame builds since it nerfs our signle target damage.
Trinity clarification in the notes.
-------- EQUIPMENT HELP --------
USE YOUR CRAFTING BENCH TO FILL YOUR EMPTY AFFIXES.
Weapon: This is one of the most important pieces of gear for your damage. You need a high flat DPS claw (or dagger). This rule applies until you switch to a unique weapon.
Pick up claws and daggers you find on the ground and identify them. If needed, use essences to upgrade a good base to rare and try to roll flat added damage.
Later on, when you'll switch to the crit variant (claw version), you will need to either craft or buy high elemental dps claws with possibly either crit chance or attack speed.
Body Armour: In the early game any body armour with resistances or attributes/life will do. In the endgame we will either use uniques or high end chests (See the Item set for endgame dex stacker or ward stacker).
Helmet: Early on same as body armour, prioritize life and resistances. Later on, you can start looking for helmets with spell suppression too.
Gloves: Early on try to get some life and resistances. Later on Attack speed and flat damage will become important.
Boots: Early on prioritize Movement speed, Resistances and life. Later on you'll need some spell suppression too.
Belt: Any belt base will work at first. Prioritize Resistances and life.
Amulet and rings: This is very important, expecially early on try to craft flat added damage to attacks whenever possible, this is a big damage boost. So prioritize Added damage to attacks, Resistances, Life.
I suggest to always get a dexterity base so we can get the evasion mastery for 15% increased spell suppression.
The build can lack Strength and Intelligence early on, so try to get those attributes on gear when possible.
-------- ADVICES FOR SMOOTH LEVELING EXPERIENCE --------
Early regex: g-g-b|g-[gb]-g|b-g-g|Runn|rint|s:.+(cl|da)
As mentioned before, using your crafting bench is one of the most important things you can do while leveling.
Your top priority should be crafting flat added damage on rings and amulet as early as possible. Below I've listed the areas where you can unlock those recipes.
Prioritize flat lightning damage.
My other advice is to use your gold to gamble for gear from the npcs. This will easily give gear with life or weapons with good flat damage, even 4 links early on.
-------- IMPORTANT CRAFTING RECIPES LOCATION --------
Lightning damage to attacks craft low level: The lunaris temple level 2. <---- ACT 3 Area level 30.
Cold damage to attacks craft low level: The Crystal Veins. <---- ACT 4 Area level 36.
Fire damage to attacks craft low level: The solaris temple level 2. <---- ACT 3 Area level 28.
Lightning damage to attacks craft high level: The chamber of sins level 1. <---- ACT 7 Area level 52.
Cold damage to attacks craft high level: The Causeway. <---- ACT 7 Area level 54.
Fire damage to attacks high level craft: The Dread Thicket. <---- ACT 7 Area level 53.
Low level crafts cost 4 Transmutation Orbs.
Higher level crafts cost 2 Orbs of Alchemy.
-------- CRAFTING HELP --------
Crafting medium cluster jewel early on: Harvest reforge caster on Projectile Damage Base until Follow-Through and Repeater.
-------- OTHER SUGGESTIONS --------
To farm some currency before getting to maps, my suggestion is to do a bit of heist beforehand. The heist coins should start dropping after starting act 6.
-------- TRINITY EXPLANATION --------
Trinity is a support gem that rewards you for altering which element hits the hardest. When one element deals the highest damage on a hit, you gain Resonance for the other elements.
For example, if a hit deals more cold than lightning and fire, you gain lightning and fire Resonance. If the next hit deals more lightning, you gain cold and fire Resonance.
Each element can have up to 50 Resonance. If you can consistently alternate between elements, you can maintain maximum Resonance and fully activate Trinity.
The resonance will give our build some elemental damage buffs.
So if you wanna use trinity, make sure that the build has at least 2 elemental damage of types with overlapping damage ranges.
-------- PROS & CONS --------
Pros:
Very fast clear speed
Smooth leveling
Cheap to start
Scales well with investment
Cons:
Can feel squishy early
Single target requires gear scaling
-------- FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS --------
When can I actually swap to the crit version of the build?
- My suggestion is to swap to crit whenever you can afford it, that means if you can afford good claws with crit on them, or to upgrade the build in general, you can go ahead.
Can I play this without clusters?
- Yes. Clusters are a mid/late game upgrade, not required for early mapping.
How do I sustain mana?
- Early game: we use Primal Spirit for mana gained on hit after using a mana flask.
- Later on we will rely on leach and mana on hit.
Should I swap to the dex stacking version later?
- Swap once the crit version starts feeling hard to scale further. If you want to transition early, make sure you have enough currency to fully commit to the gear.
