Seeing a lot of recent posts on different versions of VG, I made a version of it myself based on my dawnbreaker LS zerker and I think this is the best version of VG based on what I see from other's showcases.

Sim 29-30 with mageblood (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Mqgsch7m4Q) - mageblood is not required for this build, just makes the defenses slightly better (unlike some str stacking VG builds which rely on mageblood as crux for defenses)

Note: since I just started playing VG this weekend I'm pretty bad at namelocking whirling blades, but you can see how strong it is even when I mess up the whirlingblades sometimes.
Advantages it has over strength stacking venom gyre:
-
Way higher EHP. This is the EHP/max hit of this build. Taking some top strength stacking VGs out there on poe.ninja, this has more than 2x the max hit and more than 5x the total ehp. Not to mention strength stacking berserkers generally have no elementail ailments as defense layers while this has chill (from skitterbots) and sap.
-
Way cheaper - despite having some harder to craft items, this doesn't come close to strength stacking VG which requires 50ex+ to even get started.
In terms of damage - I think it's somewhat on par with strength stacking VG, this has about 25-30 mil dps per projectile, while it doesn't come close to the super minmaxed strength stackers on poe.ninja, it has enough for all content in the game.
I didn't bother comparing this with some of the deadeye/ranger variants, but I feel like they are way squishier than this, and I don't really see them having higher dps either.
