Hi everyone, i wanted to share my league starter for 3.22, EA on hit Raider. I have league started this build 3 or 4 times in a row, and i feel confident this is a really good build to get the league going.
Pros
Really fast map clear.
High dps on a very low budget ( only need a quillrain to get going)
Feels incredible smooth to play due to insane movement and attack speed.
Can get you all voidstones with very basic gear.
Can do T16 even on a 4 link, although 5 link its recommended.
Really versatile gear wise. You can do anything you want, uniques, MF, shrines, etc
Cons
Single target dps is very average. You can still do bosses, but for something like ubers, you will need to invest waaay to much into the build.
Its not very tanky, you will need to reposition yourself a lot. This can be fixed on higher budgets, but not at league start.
You will be doing a decent amount of clicks.
Jack of all trades, master of none. Ill say if you want a dedicated mapper you can do better than this. Same if you want a bosser. This build can do both, but its not the best at any of them.
Why would you play EA on hit?
Well the easier answer is, because you want something to make your currency early and transition into a better bow build without having to level another toon ( like tornado shot), or you love to explore more off meta bow builds. Its also a really fast build that feels good mechanically.
Explosive arrow works like a spell, in the sense that damage scales from gem level, hence, why they only thing you really need is to attack fast to get a lot of fuses and make big explosions. This is not an ignite build, so even if damage is delayed just a bit, you dont have to wait for anything else. The synergy between Quillrain and Mirage archer makes you clear really fast, while having really good movement speed.
Compared with the EA ignite elementalist, ill say this is a way faster build, but the ceiling is lower. You can push this build to do ubers or 80% deli , but its not ideal at all and for the investment, you can do waaay better builds if thats what you want.
I start as Raider because of all the good stuff raider has earlier, but once you have gear, Deadeye will be better.
The pob i add down here has a lot of trees as you progress and through campaign, including a lvl 95 deadeye crit tree.
