Path of Exile - A Mayhem Event Build - Chieftain Burning Arrow Ignite Proliferation - PoE

Whilst this was designed for the specifics of the Mayhem event (04-Dec-2020 to 11-Dec-2020), it should work in future leagues unless major game changes prevent that. If you are intending to play this in 3.13 or later, just ask whether it's still viable or not & I'll try to let you know.

This isn't the most beginner friendly build I've ever made, sorry if that is what you were looking for. It's not going to be very good until you can get the unique bow Xoph's Nurture and you'll need to level with something other than the main skill.

The Mayhem event will add a lot (20) of minibosses to many zones. Rogue exiles, invasion bosses, etc.

This means you don't necessarily need overwhelming single-target damage for Mayhem, but the league will reward strong multi-target damage. Ignites are a solid choice here.

Please note: This uses pretty basic gear except for the Kaom's Heart (should be very accessible in Mayhem, if not, just use a life/armor chest), Dyadian Dawn (which is rare but usually very cheap in trade leagues; a life/resist belt will do in a pinch) and the 6 link Xoph's Nurture (substitute a 5-link Nurture and skip one support, or a 6-link bow with physical damage and/or fire damage mods). The jewels have wasted stats on them (the chaos damage) as I don't think you will get 4-mod jewels easily in a short event.
