Mechanics:
Why only Fire and Chaos Res?
Tempered by War + Divine Flesh convert all Cold and Lightning Damage taken to half Fire half Chaos
We leverage that to stack negative res for Doryani's Prototype
How does it tank the DoT from Shaper?
It uses Divine Flesh on Mahuxotl's Machination to convert 50% of elemental damage to chaos damage taken. Tainted Pact then states that all Chaos Damage over Time is instead healed to you while you are leeching.
If you have similar Elemental resistances to your Chaos resistance, every elemental DoT (e.g. Shaper Beam and degen pools) will damage you but also heal you by the same amount.
Mahuxotl's also provides you with "Immortal Ambition", which lets you overleech into your Energy Shield, which when filled gets removed by "Everlasting Sacrifice". -> non-stop Overleech
