I found a spider chieftain tank build on daily ninja a couple of days ago and rebuild it.

Build looks super wierd but plays well and is insanely tanky. It was actually quite cheap to get going too. Minus the gloves with the Despair corruption.

300k ehkp, 100% phys to elemental, Transcendence, 80k armour, Eternal Damnation, 1.4k life regen, Grace, Malevolence, Determination, Purity of Elements, Vitality and lvl 1 Precision.

With Splash I have around 1.5m spider dps. With Multistrike around 2.9m.

I found his Storm Brand+Phantasm+Feeding Frenzy setup really neat.

The ascendancy points are totally bonkers. We go for the 20% phys to fire and rest is life regen small nodes.

I have zero issues keeping 20 spider up at all times while mapping. But on guardians the spiders sometimes fall off and getting them up to 20 can sometimes be really tricky and with bad luck I only spawn bunch. The build is imo nearly immortal. So there is that. Spider could use a little more oomph too.

Is there anything obvious missing to improve spider damage or spider uptime on bosses?

Honestly I thought about just dumping Dawnbreaker for Squire. It would still give me 80% phys to elemental. 90% would be possible with a corrupted squire (yeah wtf) and a 12% WE. 100% with a double Watchers Eye. But thanks to Steelmage that got super expensive.

*edit* Just in case someone stumbles upon this later. I had a bunch of currency my other toon had gathered and decided to spend it on this build. My solution for damage/tank was indeed a 2mod Watcher's Eye (25div), a corrupted Squire (20div). On top I bought Anamahu's Gaze (9div) and a Lethe Shade (9div) annoint for my relic. I bought a corrupted Lightning Coil (4div) too with crit reduction and reduced chaos damage taken.

As gems for Spider I am using: Divergent Multistrike, Divergent Minion Damage, Anomalous Withering Touch (all 3 in squire), Awakened Unbound Ailments, Awakened Void Manipulation, Awakened Melee Physical (those gems are level 1 or 2 right now, just set them in the pob to a higher level)

It lists me at roughtly 20+m dot damage at 99. I am still working towards that level. So far so good. Tankyness is insane right now and damage seems good too.

*edit2* Not that anyone cares. But the build become an absolute monster. Unbelievably tanky with so much damage. I will probably play that build some time again.
