The basic tech here feels like it became popular with dissolution of the flesh builds. Getting 30% Life recoup and a 21/20 Petrified Blood basically voided 40% of the hit damage you took by counteracting and perfectly matching the life loss from damage taken over time effect with life recouped.
If Progenesis stacks additively with the petrified blood, stacking enough recoup and flask effect can basically give you REALLY high amount of hit nullification. Some basic framework like this: https://pobb.in/7QArhaYUSxC4 (25% of Life Loss From Damage Occurs Over 4 Seconds * 1.6 Flask Effect) coupled with 21/20 petrified blood would basically ignore 80% of hit damage.
This is definitely scalable to the extreme, with potentials of higher flask effect with eldritch body implicit, micro-distillery belt etc to push 99% hit damage nullification while fighting pinnacle bosses: https://pobb.in/LslZgfSLevf-
You could instead probably run the flask with the 70% increased effect enchant and choose to scale flask duration instead of pathfinder flask uptime like in soulthirst builds to get full 100% hit immunity.
This is not a build, guide or recommendation, just wanted to point out something I noticed that may or may not be pretty busted depending on how the mechanics work in practice. I imagine finding a few builds that abuse this won't be hard if it works correctly, though.
