budget POB approx 18ex -- I wouldn't recommend spending less than this because trying to do juiced maps with less DPS than this will feel really bad. This is approx 45-50% of my DPS.

I've always wanted to play slayer with a bow since the nodes were changed to generic attack damage. Also wanted to play with Omni before it gets nerfed next league =x

Why slayer?

It's hipster and has decent single target damage, over leech is fantastic especially against exarch burning ground so I don't have to use health flask constantly, gives 8% base crit to all weapons so it's significantly easier and cheaper to build crit. Also with forbidden jewels I get access to arena challenger which makes you go fast as long as you have one sand/blood stance skil equipped.

Why Doomfletch?

Base phys damage rolls were buffed this league so in turn doomfletch was slightly buffed. The main reason is Omni. Since we get over 100% elemental penetration (which was not even close to possible even with the abyss chest) we can benefit fully from the added elemental damage. It's also significantly cheaper than a phys bow or tri elemental bow, and we can easily get +additional arrows on the corrupt. I was using a 0 linked bow until I got the currency to 6link it using bench craft, then I was able to put in focused ballista.

Why convert phys to cold?

I'm using devastator notable on two large clusters which gives 30% chance to explode enemies for 10% of life, which then fully gets converted to cold and buffed by hatred aura.

Budget?

On my personal gear I spent around 95ex on jewels alone (actually self crafted all the clusters but I'm estimating) and about 15 on everything else.. As you can see some of my rare gear is dogshit. That's because I spent the bare minimum to craft the minimum stats I needed to get the build online. There's a lot more to min max and at this point but I don't really thing there is a need.

Is this doable on a smaller budget?

Absolutely doable. Bare minimum is 6L loreweave, conversion watchers eye and conversion gloves, one inspired learning, one cluster with devastator notable, 1 to 2 medium clusters. Spend leftover points on life and damage on tree itself. Use lioneyes jewel to convert claw nodes on tree. Regular GMP instead of awakened.

Can this do bosses?

Yeah, but there are way better builds for that. Unless you know boss mechanics well you're probably going to get one shot all the time. I designed this build so that it can do maps super fast but also do bosses if I felt like it. This build can also do delve (I'm at around 400 depth)
