Yesterdays build thread had some interest in my Leash of Oblation Penance brand Necro, so I decided to do a short write-up.
Core concepts
The build
TLDR: Offerings are good, but low effect. Scale offering effect, run all offerings, big damage. Charms enable this.

The build uses offering effect together with Leash of Oblation to give us massive base stats to work with. This would work for any skill that loves Cast/Attack Speed and Crit, I picked Penance brand because it also scales with duration, which the offerings naturally bring.
Budget version
It is possible to play this without clusters and on very cheap gear. Keep in mind that it won't feel as smooth due to the lack of Remarkable/Grand Design clusters. It will however suffice to farm them with. A lot of QoL in general is lost, so I wouldn't recommend this for inexperienced players. https://pobb.in/LVDREzj396BQ
Mid tier version
Mostly adding of QoL. Cluster jewels for better branding, sustain from leech and on kill, added tankyness from flasks, upgrade to your sceptre, getting a haste watchers eye with phasing is also great addition here. Most upgrades here are between 50c and 3d. https://pobb.in/FD_PAeVkkssK
High budget(50 divines)
I'll just do a slot by slot breakdown on how I rate them:
Weapon: Trigger mod and +1 to all spells are nice(since they buff spectres, auras, penance brand, offerings). +1 lightning can be basically any damage mod, minion damage is nice generic damage to scale heralds, our brand and explosions if you decide to pick them up.
Shield: Good chunk of armour and ES. allows us to go MoM/EB. Hard to replace
Helm: Flex slot. Can go brand helmet for the pseudo 7L, can go +2 minions here and drop it from gloves, could go aura reservation. I went with this option to smooth out phys damage taken and some AoE.
Chest: Offering effect is the only mandatory mod here in my opinion. You can go +1 curse/Offering effect/Explode chest with Hunter/Crusader, defensive mods like I did.
Gloves: Allow me to run 4 spectres and an AG. AG gives me ailment protection 99% of the time via Sign of the sin eater. Kingmaker would obviously be huge, but to expensive compared to budget setups.
Rings: Stats and resists. Cast speed is good for DPS and Smoothness, but by no means needed.
Belt: enables the build, non optional.
Boots: give you corpses to always have offerings.
Flasks: I ran 4 magic flasks until 95, taste of hate is huge defensive and gives some more damage, Bottled faith caps our crit and allows us to move away from diamond flask.
Amulet: I ran jinxed juju before Ashes. I would say they're very close in power. Ashes just scales all our main skills harder(spectres, offerings, brands), making it slightly better.
