I started chieftain warlock reap, it was OK but dps was low, very hard to scale ignite dps on chieftain, it was just caried by hinekora explosions. From that I went fulcrum in the begining of the league, got one for 70c, but didn't enjoyed it, having to manage the self ignite timer and to be always on the run was stressing.

So I sold it and went to a Trickster where i dumped my hard earned currency, and it was bad, i went with a idea that wasn't so good or needed more currency, so I started from the scratch, went back into the chieftain and here it is!

This build is very very very chill, you just walk around collecting loot, basicaly a 0 button, you may want to cast flammability if you feel that you need ocasionally, and use your movement skill.

I have invested more after the first proof of concept, but I think you can start this build with less than 10 divines, almost all itens are cheap, and things get expensive when you splurge in jewels, corrupted itens and better rolled legendaries.

Concept:

Get hit, get stunned, cast your spells all at once with cast when stunned.

Use Immutable force so you don't get stunlocked. (only mandatory item to get started, but you will realy want bloodnotch so you don't die, a low roll of defiance of destiny is also cheap).

Use Bloodnotch to help with sustain, along with defiance of destiny and you are immortal to small hits. Big hits is as problem, so you use some sort of crit immunity. (I am using viridi's veil for unlucky hit and more corpse life on unearth, but there is the stun master just beside imbalanced guard that is perfect, i think i will change virid's).

Defenses:

Endurance, Phys as fire from cloak of flame and 90% fire res.

We don't need offensive auras, but we need purity of fire and petrified blood.

Recover:

Bloodnotch and defiance of destiny. You also need a good ammount of life regeneration to help you sustain life cost and righteous fire (not mandatory to use RF). RF is there only for the spell damage.

For mana sustain we go Blood magic, we don't need offensive auras.

Offences:

We are scalling hit damage, so we scale: (Fire damage>Corpse Life>Spell damage).

We go for Elemental Overload, but maybe there is a crit build at the higher budgets.

We use pain atunnement and RF to help the hit damage.

Primalist for Corpse life charms, but penance mark may help you with bossing, but it is so niche that i found it isn't worth it, also the adds would die before they could hit me, interrupting the uptime. But against single target is still better than without.

As chieftain, one of his strenghts is tons of elemental resistances, so that is why i chose to go for Annihilating Light as main weapon, for its triple damage.

Links:

You need 2 x 4 links for corpse generation: Unnearth+GVolley+Empower+Cast when stunned in a +level setup (virid's veil or gloves), and Desecrate+Spell cascade+cast when stunned in another setup.

Main links are also 2: One with Vollatile dead of confinement (way more damage for dense maps, like the ones we play) and another with Detonate dead of chain reaction, check pob for what I am using as links. I am still not set on what is better though, and would apreciate input from the community.

This build is really really link starved, because we use 4 full set of itens just for damage, so a hand of templar with elemental weakness (or other corrupted glove) is very good, as well the anathema with flammability implict.

Get at least 5% cooldown recovery rate on boots or from other source so you CwS at 0,1 server tick (up to 10.1 cast/s).
