Cleave of Rage is likely the best "melee" skill in game currently. In this post I give an overview how to reach crazy damage numbers or alternatevily go into more tankyness. 2 Weeks ago I made a starter build with some endgame pob. I majorly reworked this endgame build. This is its final form. It exceeds every build I played so far. I do very juiced endgame content. Occasionally I die, but well I paid for 6 portals.

Build overview:

Cleave of Rage increased the AOE radius depending on your rage. Add in some increased AOE and your cleave becomes more than screen wide. Usually building up your rage can be a bit painfull, dangerous and slow. This league you only need 2 button presses to max your rage at the start of the map. A charm states mod "generate 2 rage per 5 warcry power if you have less than 25 rage" Redblade banner gives inifinity warcry power. Weapon swap into redblade banner, warcry -> maximum rage. This also allows us to use berserk frequently for nasty rare packs which boosts both damage and survivability. To deal with large amounts of packed monsters we also use 2 sources of explosions. One being the cluster mod jewel devastator, the other being rampage from gloves.

Damage:

110m is fully buffed and not something you will have all the time in your map. It requieres a flask press, berserk and placing your totem. For a very nasty rare pack you pop these to reach highest dps. Without totem and berserk it is 56m. As I can replenish my rage with 2 buttons, I use berserk quite frequently. It also stays up kinda long because of rage generation.

Tankyness:

Moderate. You need to attack to have leech which keeps you alive. 80% all res + fortify against ele hits. 5-6 endurance charges, arctic armour and some armour. An ounce of block and elusive. Minus aspect of carnage and abyssus. I do very juiced content and die occasionally. For normal mapping I do not die. I prefer my damage, however if tankyness is wanted there are options to massively increase tankyness at the cost of dps. Ailment immune, curse immune and mostly crit immune through pantheon.

Playstyle:

Go into map, weapon swap and warcry. Leaap slam crazy fast around and cleave stuff. Dangerous rare? pop totem, flask and berserk. After rage is gone weapon swap warcry again. continue until everything is dead. You can play this without weapon swap. But really awkwardly hacking the first 3-4 packs until rage is up takes MUCH longer.

What Content can it do?

Generally it can do all content. For pinnacle uber bosses It would likely suck. A crazy single target damage build can be aquiered for far cheaper. For any mapping content this build is great. Stacked stuff like blight and beyond benefits greatly from 2 explody mechanics. Legion with high juice occasionally kills me. It cleary rippy maps very fast. Leap slamming around feels faster than walking with 300% ms. Currently I do deli, beyond 8 mod t16 juice maps.

Farming strats:

I did a lot of 8 mod strongbox farming to sell 8mod maps and get apothecarys. Sextants and scarabs are rather expensive for this. Selling maps with a certain discord is rather annoying as well. Currently swapped to doing packsize with growing hordes, deli, beyond alva. If I hit blue juice the amount of currency is rather high. 5+ div in worth per map. If I do not hit blue juice the results are not much worth. Doing meta abyss farm will generate more currency, I just do not like abyss. As usual, get a farming strat and do it as fast as possible. Hideout is lava.

Budget

This endgame PoB has an investment of something about 500-600 divine. There is not much room for further upgrades. A perfect triple mod watchers eye and mirrored psychotic axes would moderately increase the damage by 15-20%. However it can be leaguestartet rather cheap with 2 unique items for some chaos. I did leaguestart the build and it was one of the smoothest league starters I played so far. bear's girdle belt for rage damage scaling and rigwald's savagery axe. For a guide on how to leaguestart this look at the last post: guide

Get tanky instead?

Use your mageblood to get high armour numbers, add a high armour chest and helmet. Phys taken as fire damage. Add in either unbreakable from forbidden flame/flesh or use the equivalent charm mod. You could also add Grace for moaar armour. Spell suppression is also an option. You can get much much tankier and still do 30-50m dps. This league kind rewards very high damage. I perfer the damage variant.

MF?

It is possible to add some MF if you like. I currently prefer my damage. The bost option is goldwyrm for 20% quant with good corruptions like endurance charge or life. Using ventors is possible but it would hurt your damage. Item rareity in main link is also an option but it halves your damage. A gold flask with rareity enchant is a good option as it costs only like 15% of your damage. I think 20% quant on boots is a good sweet spot. But if you prefer losing damage for a lot of MF that is an option!

POB: https://pobb.in/JMVIpB8NfS3W you can change boots to goldwyrm included to see the effect)

Most important item upgrades:

Mageblood really gets your endgame build started. It fixes so many problems and gives great flexibility. However it is by no means required to play the build. It gives ailment and curse immunity. Also by adding res on flasks, gear can get very usefull suffixes like: crit multy, vulnearbility, tailwind, elusive.

Forbidden flame/flesh aspect of carnage. I bought it for a total of 11 div, currently it is 70 div. As usual, If you play a lot early you get gear for a fraction it costs now.

Watchers eye with pride impale last additional hit + determination phys reduction

Stranglegrasp with 4 anoints rare corrupted. Buy one unique, anoint it and vaal. If it turns rare great. If you feel risky use tainted chaos on it (can brick). An uncorrupted one is 29 div. I bought mine for 8div. On average you need 4 tries to get it rate. But well you can just use it withoug being a rare item as well.

Abyssus with 90% mana cost corruption. The corruption is needed to sustain all auras. A life rare helm with damage taken as fire is a good tanky alternative.

Redeemer Hunter chest. Base crit + additionall curse. Then you add vulnerability on hit (atop of ass mark from gem links). Defense mods are also nice like phys reduction or phys taken as cold. Aura effect is crazy good. This cost me 30D yesterday.

Saviour is really good both for damage and clear. However to see the damage you need to include the reflection skill in your pob skill overview into full dps. There is no weapon that gives this build more damage than savior.

Rigwald's savagery can be replaced by a very very good rare psychotic axe. There is currently one in market for 170d that would boost my dps by 15%. At the cost of some aoe. Seems rather expensive.
