Hi, im trying to craft a build using the Tainted Pact Colar Amulet ("Chaos damage over time taken heals you instead while leeching life") and self poisons via The Golden Rule unique jewel ("poisons you inflict are reflected back to you if you have fewer than 100 poisons"), i have already managed to make a build that is able to tank most bosses without taking damage, the problem was that as soon we werent leeching or getting poisons, we would die very easily. So now im trying to think of ways to always have Tainted Pact active, regardless of monsters being hit or not. I've come up with a few ideas, and tested some but couldnt understand if it was working or not. I also thought this could be interesting to anyone trying to use this amulet.
The way i see it, the ideal way to build around this amulet would be having big Chaos Dot (poisons) taken while having high Max Hits (using Petrified Blood, Progenesis, Molten Shell, Frost Shield etc) and overleech effects (Slayer Passive for overleech, Petrified Blood, Immortal Ambition, Offering to the Serpent Gloves), so here are a few discoveries/questions:
1- If you are using the Apep's Slumber or Apep's Supremacy Shield ("+25% chance to be poisoned") you can self inflict poisons without hitting enemies. You can use Cwdt Heartbound Skelletons Loop or Forbidden Rite for self hits, which will poison you. The duration and damage of these poisons seems to scale in a different way to reflected poisons, the initial hit of FR or Cwdt Loop is always small, would there be some way to increase the duration or damage of these poisons? I think posion damage and duration on enemies wouldnt apply, since the poison source is not coming from the enemies. But what about "poison duration" or "poison Dot multi"? Or "Lethal Shade" Keystone? Self Curse Temporal Chains?
2- Would using a Cinderswallow Urn Flask, or a normal flask with the crafted "15% of damage taken from hits is leeched as life during flask effect" give permanent leech uptime (assuming that an overleech effect is active) with either Cwdt Loop or Forbidden Rite (for constant hits taken)? Also, would the Cinderswallow Urn's effect of leech stack with the craft on a normal flask if both are active? Would Flask Effect from passives increase this effect of damage taken as leech?
3- I think another way to go around the necessity for monsters would be using The Writhing Jar unique flasks, maybe more than one. If you had permanent leech uptime and long enough poisons, you could just stack several poisons, start a damage loop with Cwdt or FR and use the flask with "15% of damage taken is leeched as life" and constantly use Writhing Jars for poisons sustain. Do you guys think this would work? One of the problems for this would be that, if we go with Cwdt Heartbound Loop, we would want Increased Skill Effect Duration for poisons AND Reduced Skill Effect Duration for our Skelletons. Does anyone know of another Cwdt Loop that could Trigger "15% of damage taken leeched as life during flask effect" from our flasks in a consistent manner?
4- Im was under the impression that the Replica Red Trailer boots, which have "50% for spell hits against you to inflict poison" would make your FR inflict poisons on you, but it doesnt. Whats the difference between this and "25% chance to be poisoned" from Apep's Shield? Can anyone think of another way to self inflict poison or to make this boots work with self poison?
5- While using Petrified Blood, if you use a life flask (such as The Writhing Jar) while leeching, it ends your leech instances. Is there some way to prevent your leech from ending when using life flasks? Would reserving some life + using Petrifeid Blood (say you use Arrogance Support with a Lvl 1 Vitality) work? Immortal Ambition + PB? Slayer Ascendacy + PB?
6- It seems Self Curse Temporal Chains + overleech effects increases the duration of your leeches, i believe increasing Curse Effect would scale the duration of your leeches as well? In the skill description from Temporal Chains, is it the part of "other effects on cursed enemies expire 40% slower" that affects my leech? Does this mean since its "50% less effect on players" that its a 20% increased leech duration?
If anyone thought of anything interessing for this interactions, or some other way to build around this amulet, or something i got wrong, please share your thoughts bellow.
