A few weeks a go I was theorizing what I wanted to play for the next league, and I made this thread: https://dd.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/140biuw/how_to_build_a_tanky_allrounder_with_shockwave/
I had a set or requirements for the build, mainly a totem playstyle, high quality of life, and zero-to-hero possibility in terms of scaling. Eventually I landed on Hierophant as an ascendancy, simply because it provides the most straightforward access to damage and totem placement speed, and because it has a good position on the passive tree. This allows me to focus more gear into defense compared to more 'naturally defensive' options such as Scion.
My planned endgame setup is this:
https://pobb.in/K8G1VhvCDPF7
At an expected investment level of around 400-600 divines, this pob has:
- 100M DPS
- 88% Max res
- 100% Spell Suppression
- 38k Armour
- 180% Movement Speed
And useful secondary stats, such as:
- 1k Life Regeneration, 30% Recoup
- Stun Jewel-based hit defense
- Mageblood-empowered resistance flasks
- 4 Endurance Charges
- Permanent Freeze on basically everything
Some things I have not yet completely solved, such as the exact Int + Str balance for Rational Doctrine, and a good way to craft a Shaper shield (the best I can come up with is spamming spellcrit essences until I hit 2 good suffixes).
That said, I'm pretty happy with what I've thought of so far, and I was wondering if anyone could provide feedback on my choices. Do you see any areas of improvement, or issues with the build? I would love to discuss any part of this, whether it comes to how to craft, the passive tree, or gear choices.
