Rambling follows: I've been wanting to run a non-crit lightning build as long as I've been aware of the mastery, but never managed to make a decent enough PoB. I always end up all over the place. I'm excited for the new lightning skills and the trickster rework. Everytime I'm tinkering with lightning builds I'm kinda lost on the main skill even. I'd like to get power out of Orb of Storms, so I'd like a skill that I can spam, but I feel they're all clunky one way or other. And I feel like I'm missing some tricks to get dps up anyway. I'm not looking to make a build that can faceroll ubers, but something decent. I guess most of all I'd like to utilize Lightning Conduit and for that something to generate big shocks. One problem with lightning skills is that I always end up with a feeling that I need 5 4-links and a 6-link. Like now I have OoS and LC (which I believe I can't spam for OoS). Can I use OoS for clearing? What to do for Single Target?

Arcs single target sucks, but could OoS (and LC for big shocks) be enough with that? Would I still use Unleash or rather Spell Echo? Ball lightning doesn't do big hits so no big shocks right? Spark seems too difficult to build around. Too many things to scale for a mess that is this build. Although could Spark be done with Polymath? Storm Brand is not to be spammed. I don't think I like WoC.

I'm now going back and forth between Crackling Lance, Storm Call and Shock Nova for big hits and clearing with OoS. But I'd like to fit in Galvanic Field and Innervate and even Sigil of Power (I shouldn't) somehow, but I fear the clankyness of movement with just a Flame Dash or similar. Maybe I'll use a sceptre and just leap slam.

Other thing is that I've never really run ES builds, but with the ES-Leech from the ascendacy I'd like to give it a go. Shav's and Prism Guardian is the obvious way, but I just don't want to. I probably have to but I've been thinking if the mastery (30% of chaos dmg doesn't bybass ES) could be done with like petrified blood maybe? I've been looking at the burden of Truth as well, but that seems to make me to vulnerable to non-chaos damage. I think I have to go Shav's

This will not be my starter. Feel free to tell me it doesn't work at all, or maybe share something that you've thought of doing or seen others do. I'm going HC, for what it's worth.
