I've been running Frostblink Ignite this league, using Dissolution of the Flesh. I've done some testing this weekend, and wanted to make a note of a couple of cool features of the jewel.

Petrified Blood caps you at low life, and converts a portion of damage you take from hits into life loss over time. This life loss over time is not itself damage, and it turns out that PB's damage modifier happens before Dissolution's. The end result is that when you take a hit, only 60% of the damage is reserved as life, while the other 40% is actual life lost over 4 seconds, so it can be countered by life recoup. For a 21/20 PB, if you have at least 30% of damage taken recouped as life (either from the top of the tree or from a Kalandra ring), you will lose no life and only reserve life when hit. This turns PB + Dissolution into a 40% less damage taken multiplier.
If you attempt to reserve more than 100% of your mana (e.g. by equipping gear with mana reservation efficiency, casting auras, then taking it off), the game automatically un-casts your oldest aura(s) and frees up some more mana. This same effect happens with life reservation, including life reserved by Dissolution. If you have an aura on life (Hatred in my PoB), and take a hit that would reserve more life than you have left, the game automatically toggles off your aura to prioritize reserving damage (via Dissolution). When Hatred is turned off, your actual life value remains the same as before this hit, which is only an issue if this leaves you with too little life to cast (e.g. degen ground leaves you at literally 1hp). Effectively, this allows you to cast extra aura(s) while at 'full life' i.e. while in your perfectly-healthy state, which are removed when you take damage. And yes, this does work for multiple life auras at once: they will be removed in the order you cast them.
The only thing I was unable to test is how the jewel interacts with Eternal Youth. Dissolution converts damage into reservation instead of life loss, so I'm not sure if this counts as breaking 'Life Recharge' from the keystone. If anyone knows this interaction, please let me know.
As a side note, this jewel leads to a much more fun playstyle than I expected. It is very susceptible to DoTs--in particular desecrated ground which I cannot be immune to--but otherwise feels quite tanky for a full evasion character. Completed the Feared with 2 deaths, which I'd like to think is because I forgot to unallocate Captivated Interest and let degen grounds pile up over time. The only downside is that you look like your constantly dying even while perfectly healthy, which takes some getting used to.
