I was looking into a way of building smite this league since Vaal Smite looks like it could be fun
I've been thinking a bit of how to scale smite and came up with the following:

Core mechanics :
- Aura stacking-lite champ for armor/evasion stacking Perseverance shenanigans
- Convert all of Smite's lightning damage to cold damage via double Call of the Brotherhood
- Capitalize on Heatshiver to add 130% of that cold damage as extra fire damage
- top it off with Paradoxica to make any added flat lightning damage doueble dip and then into cold and then fire as well, ~~each of these three benefiting from any Elemental Damage increase you pick up (i think?).~~
- High aura effect feeds into Smite's inherent added lightning damage 'aura' for more flat lightning
- to counteract losing the converted lightning damage - Yoke of Suffering amulet - and since we apply chill, freeze, and ignite, thats a nice 20% damage taken on top. (thinking how to squeeze in Legacy of Fury boots for Scorch as well which would take DPS through the roof, but loose too many defensive stats on boots it seems)
- Dont have to rely on nightblade bullshit to run a strike skill!
This puts us at :
- 25m pob dps (30m with adrenaline), and that's with only 1 curse (~~sniper's~~ assassin's mark), its possible i can drop the anoint for whispers of doom and grab a self casted ele weakness for very spicy damage against bosses
- Vaal Smite will likely add a big chunk of flat ele which we dont know the numbers yet, pushing this even further
- 90k armor and evasion, Fortify, max spell suppression, and a measly 3.7k life. Pushing full ele avoidance with the shield and boots (70%) and possibly the new jewel affixes.
happy for some feedback, specifically in how to possibly make it tankier i.e endurance charge generation, better choice of jewels or any mechanics i may have slept on. looks like it could be a solid 2nd build for the league or possibly a starter with heatshiver and frostblades before getting the rings to convert smite.
