Doryani Lightning Strike - fast, fun and tanky is a Path of Exile Champion build by ReleaseBusy6642, made for the Crucible league (3.21). It is centered on Vaal Lightning Strike and plays as a dexterity, attack, melee, strike archetype. In Path of Building it reaches 29.33M DPS with 214.61K effective HP, 4.18K life, 1.23K energy shield. Suited for: Legion, Mapping, Simulacrum, Delirium, Bossing. Lightning Strike was a super popular skill that has since dropped off the map. It's still plenty of fun and powerful so I thought I'd do a short essay about it. Disclaimer - I copied builds and tweak, so this isn't my original build.

It's not the best, fastest, most damage etc but it's EASY/LAZY and FUN.

Why this build?

  1. Fast mapper: Lightning Strike has good offscreen clear. Has +84 default movespeed before elusive and frenzy charges. Clears 100% delirious maps easily. Incursion? Legion? Delirium? Yes. etc. Also suitable for all map mods, so corrupt away w/o fear.
  2. Good bosser: Can kill all contents including Ubers. Not as powerful as exploding totems but most Ubers should be a walk in the park.
  3. Tanky: Idle tanks Sirus beams, Uber Shaper bullet hell etc without flasks. Clears lvl 30 Delirium without need to move.
  4. Easy: Most important feature for me. Most of the time you're pressing ONE BUTTON. Except occasional additional button for Vaal LS. And because it can tank most of the difficult attacks (bullet hell) it's perfect for idiots w/o skills like me.
  5. Vengeant Cascade :)

Investments?

About 100 div so far, possibly more. Note my build is NOT min-maxed. Been playing since Beta and has never had a Mageblood nor Headhunter, so you can guesstimate my time investment. This is the first league I've ever completed Ubers (Sirus, Cortex, Elder etc) with this build. I'm not mechanically gifted enough to avoid Uber Maven's degens so I will leave it off my list but this build should be able to do Uber Maven easily with even a bit of game skills.
