tabl3s's Notes

Welcome to the league start guide for Poison Reaper of Revenants! Below is a culimation of notes to help you leveling through the campaign and into to maps. Starting with Act 1 below. **3.29 has removed the need to color you sockets per the skill or supports you are using. This will result in eaiser gearing through out the entire game. This allow us to run 3-6 links at a moment notice. This can run the campaign pretty quickly, 4-6 hours typically. -----Act 1 Notes----- 1. Swap Fireball for Blight right after the beach and then swap Blight for SRS as soon as you get it. 2. If you have the currency early on, feel free to link Summon Phantasm to your SRS, this will eventually be replaced by infernal legion after killing brutus. 3. As always, COLD RESISTANCE is very important in Act 1. Vets can ignore it but noobies should bench craft some if possible to help lessen some of the damamge in this Act. 4. Clarity/Vitality will help progress the early acts but will be dropped later in the campaign. 5. Find an amber amulet ASAP, so you can run shield charge ASAP. -----Act 2 Notes----- 1. Grab a level 1 Desercate or buy one later its up to you 2. Pick up Melee Phys Supp & Minion Speed Supp for your reaper while your in Act 2 3. As always get that res up and buy rings as needed to fill in res gaps. 4. Only addition in this act is Tempest shield. -----Act 3 Notes----- 1. Your first main mini boss does pure fire damage and it HURTS! Craft some fire res on your gear and make sure its high enough. 2. The last boss in Act 3 has a mix of all 3 damage types. Adjust your res accordingly. 3. Not much to pick up in Act 3 besides reaper. If you can find a bleed support to use in your reaper setup grab it. I recommend doing Libary, it takes some time but its worth it for that support. -----Act 4----- 1. If you end up getting Reaper of Revenants from any of your first three labs feel free to spec out of the Minion Instability key stone and its travel nodes and drop SRS out of the build. If youd prefer to continue using them to help clear and progress by all means please do so. 2. The early part of Act 4 is your first Lab Run and we pick Necro and then Commander of Darkness for a nice little boost to damage and most importantly RES. 3. I ran lab on a 3 link SRS and a 3 Link Reaper. If you can run 4 links on them by all means do so, more damage is always better. 4. BE SURE TO BRING A BLUE GEM FOR THE LAB AT A CHANCE OF GETTING THE REAPER OF REVENANTS GEM!!!!!!!!!\ 5. At this point you can literally just shield charge and cast SRS and fly through the campaign. Reaper is for single target. -----Act 5----- 1. Granite flask and blue jewel for the first quest reward. Hopefully you get some mods you can use. 2. Act 5 really doesnt have much in it. Couple of skill points and the main boss. Head to Act 6 asap and keep good time. -----Act 6----- 1. You can blow and go through this Act, by this point all your res should be maxxed out and good to go. 2. We also make the swap to poison over bleed chance on the reaper here, its slightly less damage but its required once we get revenants so we might as well level it up. 3. Single target should feel solid right now. Not insane and not terrible. 4. This act you should also be dropping vitality for determination aura. This will go a long way for us in terms of midigating damage. -----Act 7----- 1. These later Acts work the same. Charge, Cast SRS, Cast Reaper for rares or if you need single target, frost blink. Blow and go! 2. Do not take the amulet quest item, youll be forced to do that quest unless you want it in your inventory forever. 3. If skips where you can to help save time and just grind this Act out, lots of skill points here so we'll be filling out block and travel nodes. -----Act 8----- 1. Second lab before you start Act 8 - Mindless Aggression is out second node. A nice boost to dmg for the SRS and Reapers. 2. Right side first, Left side second. 3. Lots of cold damamge in this Act, becareful to not get overwhelmed and use your reaper to clear out packs that chill/freeze you. -----Act 9----- 1.Not much to report here besides alot of bleed damage that will really really hurt...get bleed immunity asap on your flask. 2. Literally shield charge through this act and finish it up. In my run through I was lvl 63 ending Act 9. -----Act 10----- 1..At this point you SHOULD have bleed immunity on one of your life flasks. 2. Be sure Tip 1 is done before running your third Lab 3. DO NOT KILL THE ACT 10 BOSS KATIVA BEFORE DOING YOUR THIRD LAB!!!!!! THIS IS EXTREMLY IMPORTANT. 4. Our third acendancy will be one of two notables...if you have revenants...its unnatural strength if not then bone barrier. ----Levels 65-70----- 1. Res capping before you enter a map is the most important thing. One at the 60ish area is fine but the bare minimum should be 75% all ele res. 2. White maps I always run blue to save on Alch orbs for yellows, if you have an abundence of Alchs, by all means run them rare in for your low level maps. 3. Be think about saving some chaos here between these levels. And start buying any Blue/Rare Ghastly eye jewels for crafting once you hit 70, dont feel rushed to start crafting these jewels now. 4. I would not run Reaper of Reveants in maps until they are ATLEAST level 13. This allows you to summon 4 total at this gem level. Once they get a couple of levels beyond that their health should be much more agreeable and they should die less and less. Chaos Res rares and some other mods will give you trouble but your clear and single target should be B Tier atm. -----Levels 71-75----- 1.. At this point you will have 3 ready to run jewel slots and 1 Cluster slot. Read below for jewel and cluster info. ***GHASTLY EYE JEWEL INFO*** A. Ghastly Eye jewels should have be a minimum Item Level of 60. B. Look for magic jewels but if you buy rare, be sure you have a scouring orb in order to roll them. C. The jewels at this point need only be Magic rarity with at least 1 good damage mod. I.E. Flat Phys or Chaos, X% inc. minion damamge if youve used a minion skill recently are some good ones. D. Youll have to TRY and get most of them with minion poison chance, however it wont make or break your mapping at this stage if you only get 1. Minion Poison chance take priority over ALL OTHER MODS ***MINION CLUSTER JEWEL INFO*** A. This build requires a minion large cluster jewel of 8 passives @ Item level 84 for the best tier mod of Attk/Cast speed for minions. However, for feasting Fiends, it need only be Item level 1. So I would suggest grabbing any large cluster that is 8 passives and start your craft up. This also does not need to be perfect...get what you need so you can keep leveling and getting what you need out of it, it will improve later. 2. I would also consider looking for a decent 5L body armor, esp if you didnt get one in the campaign like me! 4L in whites, 5L in yellows and 6L in reds is my general rule for progression. -----Levels 76-80----- 1. Stuff is starting to hit harder and become way more dense, esp breach and abyss. Concern yourself with rolling out all your jewels here with some heafy damage mods 2. By this point you should have atleasst a +1 minion helm, perferably with other solid mods that make you more tanky. 3. Reds are more than do able but some map bosses will give you alot of trouble and some rares will be a real pain in the butt. 3. At this point I am typically finishing my white and some of my yellows and am also lightly doing reds in the southwest quadrant of the atlas. 4. As you move into reds you minions vs. really annoying modded rares will still die. Which is fine, just back up resummon and keep going, this is normal for reapers at this stage. 5. The main goal of 65-80 is to hit level 84 for the Dark Monarch helmet. I bought mine in 3.29 for 10c, nothing crazy. That and getting minion levels where we can, i.e. wand, helmet, shield, empower supprot, etc. 6. Cleaing should be looking solid, nothing wrong with farming T10s to juice the levels a bit or find some upgrades or whatever, its a marathon not a race...atleast for me. -----Levels 81-85----- 1. Starting at this level or even before really, I would consider starting to look for dragon fang amulets for Reapers. Give it time and some will show up if its league start. The more players that hit maps the more amulets will show up on the market. Day 1 of 3.29...zero are on the market...no surprise there. 2. Also around this time, we should really consider starting to roll 15% poison chance for minion jewels. Atleast 2 of them @ a min. of 15% for our darkness enthroned belt. 3. Your next big upgrades AFTER Dark Monarch should be a modest darkness belt OR a dragon fangs amulet. Both will give you a significant boost in power. No shame in spending a handful of chaos for a 60% belt throw some 15% poison jewels in it and scale the belt later when your more flush with currency. Currently 14 hours into the 3.29 league a 60% belt is 10c....not a bad option when poison % chance isnt even 60% chance yet.....the goal is 100%. So spend the C to improve now and upgrade later. 4. Uber Lab should be VERY easy for you at this point. With or without the Dark Monarch. 5. By level 85 your poison chance for minions should be 60% or more, the closer to 100 the better. 6. Start looking to really invest in replacing some of your worst rare pieces of gear. And use any windfall in currency to secure the uniques youll need for the build. 7. We are moving towards red and pushing for our first 2 stones. 8. Invest in a 6 Link chest piece ASAP. -----Levels 86-90----- 1.By this point you should be 100% poison chance. 2. On a 5 link late reds are somewhat slow on a 5 Link, by the time you hit 90, you should on on a 6L and pushing for T16s. 3. Do some essence crafting on a good gloves base and try and pump out a good pair of minion damage gloves. Ideally Max Life, armor, Minion Damamge Dual Res and one attribute (dex or int depending on what you need). Would be suitble to have an open suffix to craft hybrid chaos ele res on top of your other ele res mod. 4. If dragon fangs amulet is too expensive on league start, I recommend using a random rare amulet or if you have enough res, the bonemeld amulet with plus 2 minion levels. Its gives us upwards of -20+ res but we need those level so, adjust your gear to handle that down side till you can buy your dragonsgang BiS amulet. -----Levels 91-95----- 1. The goal from this point on is scaling your damage and defense in order to get your 4 void stones. -This is done by gather a few key items. 1. The Gaze %multi jewel for minions, wait a couple of days and its price will go down. 250c is the current price for a 10 attribute one Day 3 of 3.29 - Darkness Enthroned belt, %92 or above and slap your best poison chance jewels in it. You should have 100% poison chance for your minios at this stage of the game. 20c for a 92% belt Day 3 of 3.29 - DragonFang Reaper amulet. You eventually want one that is uncorrupted and also 10% reservation but first of league a 6% will do. 80c is the curent price for one Day 3 of 3.29 These items will power spike you into breezing through your map progression and void stones. All 4 voids of this guide in 3.29 were done using quite terrible rare gear, max resistances and these 3 unique items. Along with shaper and Elder being Maven witnessed. So dont feel like you have to get skin of the Lord ASAP. Its helps but its not needed to get your 4 void stones. 2. Lets talk minion survivability. Even at gem level 26 some things will just kill your minions...including some bosses that have extreme penetration and shaper that wiped my minions twice in the middle of each phase. This is normal, GGG is made it so reapers are paper weights sadly, however this is miditgated by getting gem levels and alot of leech. Hence why we run the notable on the cluster AND the mastery on the minion wheel. You will have to accept that your reapers at this stage will die sometimes. But Pre level 95 and while not using flesh and stone yet, youll have enough mana to summon one at a time to keep them on the battlefield. It doesnt bother me a whole lot...but I know others that find it very annoying. 3. You should be at this stage, replacing and crafting your gear for giga farming. You can find examples of that gear in the Loadouts above. Pro tip, essences and recomb are your FRIEND. Learn it and apply that knowledge to make great gear. 4. For raw damage a high minion dmg and minion attk spd want is cheaper. However the giga wand is REALLY REALLY expensive but also gives you 2 gem levels...which frankly is invaluable to the longevity of our reapers in giga mapping content. 5. You should be farming and enjoying yourself. Make money, craft, buy new jewels, craft new jewels and start to min max everything! Not much esle I can tell you from here on out. Kill at the things :) =====END GAME MAPPING INFO===== ***Map mod you 100% have to avoid*** 1. Players cannot Regenerate Life, Mana or Energy Shield 2. Monsters cannot be Leeched from 3. Monsters have a (20-50)% chance to avoid Poison, Impale, and Bleeding 4. Players have (20-40)% reduced Chance to Block ?? Players have (20-30)% less Armour ***Map Mods that you can run but are quite rippy, use caution when using these mods*** 1. Players have -(5-12)% to all maximum Resistances 2. Monsters have (160-400)% increased Critical Strike Chance ?? +(30-45)% to Monster Critical Strike Multiplier 3. Monsters gain (21-35)% of their Physical Damage as Extra Chaos Damage ?? Monsters Inflict Withered for 2 seconds on Hit (IF YOUR CHAOS RES IS LOW). This will also kill your minions quickly if theyre overwhelmed as their chaos res isnt super high. 4. Players are Cursed with Elemental Weakness (if you arent super over capped on res). 5. Players are Cursed with Vulnerability (Use Pantheon to help with this) 6. Area has patches of Consecrated Ground, this can provide significant regen to mobs. Use frost bomb on rares and bosses if they are stuck on Consecrated Ground. 7. +(15-25)% Monster Chaos Resistance ?? +(20-40)% Monster Elemental Resistances (Just make them take less damage over all, id avoid for super juiced maps tho tbh).
