Tried this build out a couple of leagues ago but wasn't happy with it, so I remade it as a melding phys conversion build.
Playstyle is great (literally one button build, two if you take double damage on focus), plus it has more movespeed and mobility than most other CoC reap builds. It doesnt do as much damage as the classic inquisitor self cast version but it feels way better to play since you dont have to stand still when casting and awkwardly try to find the overlap sweet spot. You get the sweet spot by just standing on the enemy, and then it takes about 5 seconds to ramp up the blood and power charges, at which point you're at full dps.
Damage is looking at around 50m on white mobs with 40m pinnacle dps.
Defenses are good but not giga, we go for melding of the flesh for 90% all res and then convert 95% phys to ele with 100% suppress. Seems strong for boss spells but weaker against mob attacks with "added phys as x" mods. Crazy how rippy uber exarch is when I could comfortably tank a shaper slam but die instantly to most of his basic spells...
To sustain the reap casting we use life gain on hit and instant leech. The tech here is to use a claw as our main hand weapon and then use the "10% of leech is instant per equipped claw" mastery. On top of that we have plenty of regen with consecrated ground from the Rational Doctrine jewel.
This isn't a cheap build. At least this version uses many top tier uniques such as melding of the flesh, mageblood and a double corrupted lightning coil. A cheaper, entry level version is very possible using Grace instead of purity of elements, and it performs well in T16s, but the defenses fall off in T17s since evasion builds typically have no mitigation against physical spells.
Hope you enjoyed!
