Video Guide -
League Starting
Magic Find is NOT a leaguestarter unless you 100% know what you are doing.
If you are interested in MFing early into the season, I recommend starting off as a normal Caustic Arrow and swapping to MF after Headhunter.
With that said, you can always add in some MF items into CA Pathfinder early on too.
While I dont have a Pathfinder guide for CA, I do have an Occ version. I'd build both builds 100% the same; the only change is the slight pathing change at the start.
I won't have Pathfinder trees for it but if you'd like inspiration, here is my guide:
Day 1 - Mageblood CA Occ guide:

Leveling
If you are leaguestarting, I recommend following my Occ CA guide and just leveling with PConc while just modifying the tree to start from Ranger start.
If you are NOT leaguestarting, you can level however you'd like to Act 10 then I'd recommend buying a 5-Way carry to at least Level 90 or so before starting this build.
While you can level somewhat while MFing, I'd strongly recommend just starting at 90+.
If you want a very quick way to level a new char, id recommend using Tyty's Hollow Palm Leveling Guide.

Spell Suppression Cap
You have a few ways of going about Spell Suppression capping in this build.
The first and cheapest one is to use Warrior's Tale by Charisma and then use "Ramako Shaman" tattoos to get the rest of your missing 30% Spell Suppression.
Your other much more expensive way is to use a Quartz Infusion Forbidden Flesh and Forbidden Flame.
This is going to be substantially more expensive but it will allow you to also fit in Rarity "Tattoo of the Pillager" tattoos around the Warriors Tale giving you 54% more rarity.
Overcapping Resistance
If you are going to be doing Quant Farming, I'd recommend getting substantially more Elemental Resistance than you need.
Blue Eater of Worlds altars will drain your Cold and Lightning resistances meaning you will ideally want to have ~60% more resistance than you actually need.
This will make it so you will always be res capped without Divination Distillate active and allow you to more aggressively choose altar options.
Try to get resistances on your cluster jewels and try to get really high Cold and Lightning Ventor's Gambles.
These are the only places you can really fit resistances in this build.
Getting a Good Ventors
The ideal Ventors for this build are perfect Quant and Rarity rolls with extremely high Lightning and Cold Resistance. Ideally you want a high Life roll too but it's not as needed.
I just want to put this here as a reminder; If you buy a gg Ventors make sure to Kalandra's Touch it so you don't need a 2nd one. Ideally you only do this if the Ventor's is worth more than a Touch.
Headhunter
One question people will have is, do you need a Headhunter to play this? The answer is no, you can do this just fine with no HH.
If you plan to do 8-Mod farming you will most likely STRONGLY want to get either HH or Mageblood for the survivability and speed they provide.
The reason HH is optional in this is due to it being a Chaos Dot build.
Most HH buffs are Physical as Extra and because we don't do any Physical damage nor do we convert anything, HH is mostly used as a defensive/utility belt.
Until you can afford either of the fancy belts, any Stygian is more than good enough to get you through everything.
Ideally craft your own with "Deafening Essence of Greed" for the Life Flask Recovery Rate mod until you get a decent Max Life roll.
You can also Hunter Exalted Orb slam it for Chaos Damage or % Maximum Life on an open Prefix.
Gear
Basic overview of every slot and what to look for.
Because most of the gear here is Uniques there isint much to say other than a few words on what to look for on each item.
IN GENERAL - MF gear will be priced around its Quant rolls early into a season. Passed Week 2-3, most Quant gear will be dirt cheap and the Corrupted Implicits are the expensive part.
Helmet
The best helmet for this build is going to be a Rare helmet. Eldritch Implicits are just too important because they allow us to fit more Rarity Tattoos and double Rarity on Prefix and Suffix is too good to pass up.
Quant corrupted Ultimatum helmets exist and if you can pick one up you can consider it but personally I don't think they are good outside of Party Play only.
Ideally, get an Evasion base but an Armour/Evasion base is fine too.
The best base to use is a Lion Pelt, either buy or craft your own base.
You are going to be looking for one with Fractured T1 Rarity as a PREFIX. You can get Fractured Suffix but hitting high Rarity and High Life will be much harder and more expensive.
If you want to craft your own use "Deafening Essence of Loathing" until you hit Tier 1 "% increased Rarity of Items found."
This is about ~1/44 chance to hit, once it hits you NEED to have an Open Suffix.
If you do not have an Open Suffix, then you will need to Annul while hoping the Reservation roll and Rarity roll stays.
Once you are done, influence the helmet with a Searing Exarch Ember and then use Eldritch Orbs of Annulment to remove any Prefixes.
You, you are going to craft "+ # to Evasion Rating" to block and then use Eldritch Exalted Orbs to try and get Tier 3 Life or higher.
With blocking, this is a ~1/27 chance to happen. Once you hit it once, if you didn't hit a high Maximum Life roll, remove the crafted modifier and try again.
If both miss, use 2 Eldritch Orbs of Annulment and try again. Keep going until you get a Maximum Life roll you are happy with.
After you hit a a good roll, if you still have an Open Prefix, use 1 more Eldritch Exalted Orb and hope for a good roll.
Lastly, craft "% increased Rarity of Items Dropped by Slain Rare or Unique Enemies" on the Suffix.
Use "Grand Eldritch Ichor" on the helmet to get "% increased Mana Reservation Efficiency of Skills." This is required to have enough mana to use everything while being able to use Caustic Arrow.
Use "Grand Eldritch Ember" to hit "x% reduced Mana Cost of Attacks." This is the only useful Exarch mod and is required to keep Caustic Arrow at a low cost.
Lastly, get a Helmet enchant on the helmet from a Lab Runner if you want. Caustic Arrow Damage is ~5% more dps while Caustic Arrow AoE is ~+4 Radius which feels good.
Chest
The only chest ever worth considering is Greed's Embrace. It offers a very large amount of Quant and Rarity while the downsides are easy to deal with with Onslaught and Haste.
Get as high of a roll as you can, these are usually very cheap.
Corrupted chestplates are very very strong in this as extra gem levels for Caustic Arrow are one of the best ways to scale due to us not having many other options.
There are quite a few tags on Caustic Arrow so you have lots of options.
Try to get one of the following:
+2 to level of Socketed Projectile Gems
+2 to level of Socketed Duration Gems
+2 to level of Socketed AoE Gems
+1 to level of Socketed Gems
Now what we can do is buy ANY random Greed's Embrace +2 or +1 on it and 6 link it for super cheap, usually cheaper than 6 linking a non corrupted chest.
Once you buy one, Tainted Jeweller's Orb it to 6 sockets, these are very very cheap and will either add 1 or remove 1 socket from the chest.
It will take you ~40-60 Jeweller's to get the chest to 6 sockets.
Once you have it with 6 sockets, go to the bench and force 4 link it, this will cost a few Vaal Orbs but is not bad.
Then, use a Tainted Fusing Orb on it, this will be a straight up 50/50 on adding or removing a link. If it goes down to 3, force the 4 link again with the bench.
If it goes to a 5 link then it's a 50/50 for 6 links. If you lose it and it goes back down to 4 just try again. On average it should only take 4 Fusings to 6 link the chest.
Now, you could get unlucky and have it take more, I had a chest take 27 before but for the average person it should just be 4.
Belt
For this build our best belt before Headhunter will be a crafted Stygian belt. Luckily, it's very simple to craft a very very good belt for decently cheap that can last you all the way until Headhunter.
You are going to want a belt with a Life roll on it as well as "x% increased Flask Life Recovery Rate." The recovery rate mod is insanely powerful and can carry you a very long way.
All you are going to do is buy a ilvl 84 Stygian and use "Deafening Essence of Greed" until you hit Tier 1 Life. This is ~1/36 chance.
You will then need to get an open Prefix if there isn't one by Annulling the belt.
Lastly, use a Hunter Exalted Orb for a 54% chance at Chaos Damage or a 36% Chance at % Maximum Life.
You can repeat this step with new belts until you get a Roll and Tier you like. Both are completly fine, its just up to you if you want damage or life.
From here, you will need an open Suffix, you can craft "Prefixes Cannot be Changed" and then use a Veiled Chaos Orb.
Do not unveil it yet and craft any of the 2 Attribute Hybrid mods if you have an Open Suffix and then Unveil. You will have a ~30% chance 3 times to see any of the Resistance Hybrid mods.
Lastly, if you have an open Suffix, craft "% increased Flask Effect Duration" to finish your belt.
Bow
The only Bow ever worth considering is Widowhail. Because we ideally want to use a corrupted Greed's Embrace to get even more gem levels out of our Caustic Arrow, Widowhail becomes the next best bow.
Now, yes a well crafted Chaos Dot bow would also be good but it overall is less dps than Widowhail when combined with a Chaos Dot quiver.
Try to get a 250% roll if you can. It's ok if it's not 6 linked because you can 6 link it the same way you did with the chest.
If you buy a 250% Widowhail, Harvest craft the "Grants 1% increased Area of Effect per 4% Quality" enchant on it then use a Craicic Vassal to safely corrupt it while giving it 30% Quality.
From this point you can use the same Tainted Jeweller and Fusing trick to 6 link it for cheap.
Quiver
For a quiver we will be using a Chaos Quiver. These are a pain in the ass to craft and I really don't recommend trying to try and craft it yourself especially since these are mass crafted for EA anyways.
You want to heavily invest into the quiver you buy since you are effectively buying 3.5 quivers at once due to Widowhail. Because our weapon is cheap and we save money there, we want to invest that into a quiver.
The ideal quiver is one that has "% to Damage over Time Multiplier with Attack Skills" and the Hunter mod "% to Chaos Damage over Time Multiplier with Attack Skills."
Because they are rough to craft, getting many other good mods on there will be hard. If you can try to get an Open Suffix or a Chaos Resistance roll as even a 15% roll is enough to Chaos Res cap you.
Crafting Guide
1. Buy an ilvl 82 Broadhead Arrow Quiver. There are no good quiver bases so we are going to go with a Broadhead for Attack Speed.
2. Alt spam for Tier 1 "% to Damage over Time Multiplier with Attack Skills." This is a ~1/287 chance.
3. Augment for a Prefix if there is no Prefix then Regal.
4. Use a Farric Wolf Alpha to swap a Suffix for a Prefix if the Regal gave you a suffix. If it removes the Damage over Time Multi, Scour and go back to Step 2.
5. Craft any Prefix to fill prefixes.
6. Use a Hunter Exalted Orb and pray for "% to Chaos Damage over Time Multiplier with Attack Skills." If it hits the Fire version, sell it and try again from step 1. If it hits anything else its bricked.
Multi has a ~1/5 chance to hit for both Chaos and Fire giving you a ~1/3 chance to hit something usable or sellable.
7. If it hits "% to Chaos Damage over Time Multiplier with Attack Skills" you can stop here and craft Hybrid Chaos Res and Exalted Orb Slam for a Prefix or craft Life if you want life instead.
OPTIONAL
Only consider this if you hit Tier 1 Chaos Dot Multi.
8. Craft "Suffixes Cannot be Changed" and Reforge Life at the Harvest Bench, this will give you a ~1/5 chance for Tier 3 or higher Life.
If your Prefixes are not full you can keep going until you fill them or hit a roll you are happy with. This does have a chance to fill your Suffixes which can be unfortunate if you wished to craft Chaos Res at the end.
Boots
The only boots to use in this build are Goldwyrm. These are always cheap so try to get a max roll on it.
You can look for a corrupted pair with "% increased Maximum Life" or "% increased Movement Speed" if you want to minmax a bit more.
+2 to level of Socketed AoE Gems or Aura Gems are useless as they do not give Haste another breakpoint for more Movement Speed.
Ideally, get the "18% reduced Mana Cost of Skills if you've been Hit Recently" lab enchant to make your mana usage even lower.
Rings
The only good ring to use is Ventor's Gamble.
You are going to be fixing your Resistances through them so make sure to look for high rolls. You can also use Resistance Catalysts to make the rolls even better.
The most important rolls are going to be the Quant and Rarity with the Quant being more important. Ideally, only look at 8-10% Quant Ventor's when choosing one to buy.
The Rarity roll can be lower and doesn't have to be maxed. I'd recommend to put any Ventor's you are interested in buying into PoB and see if they res cap you.
Amulet
There are 3 possible amulets to be used in this build. Defiance of Destiny, Eyes of the Greatwolf, or a crafted Rare amulet.
Defiance of Destiny is the most defencive option which will make you very very tanky while also helping you with capping your resistances.
The most important thing here is the "Gain x% of Missing Unreserved Life before being Hit by an Enemy" which will be the most important roll to shop for.
If you go with Defiance, make sure to Fertile Catalyst it as it affects the roll making it stronger.
Eyes of the Greatwolf is the MF option which will give you quant while the other 2 amulets won't.
The only good ones to consider are Quant and Chaos Damage versions.
If you are going for Greatwolf then it MUST be a Quant Greatwolf otherwise the other 2 choices are better.
TLDR: Choose a Greatwolf from this search -
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Ancestor/9rWZQ3KtK
A rare amulet will provide you with more dps but will be more expensive to make.
Amulet Crafting Guide
1. Buy a Fractured "+x% to Damage over Time Multiplier" amulet. Try to buy it on a base that has the attributes you need. Ideally get a 26% roll but if its too expensive 25% and 24% are fine.
2. Use "Deafening Essence of Envy" until you get Tier 1 "+x to maximum Life." This is ~1/48 chance to hit and you can choose to stop on a T2 roll as well.
3. If it does not have an Open Prefix you will need to Annul the amulet until it does. If it removed the Life or the Essence mod go back to Step 3.
4. Craft "Non-Channelling Skills have -x to Total Mana Cost" and then Exalted Orb the amulet in the hopes of good Suffixes if you have any Open Suffix.
Flasks
Flasks are very very important in this build and should be treated as item slots due to them being made permanent by Pathfinder.
Try to immediately Instilling Orb your flasks with "Used when Charges reach full" so they become automatic.
In terms of flasks for this build there are 2 major Unique flasks to consider otherwise we just want normal flasks.
Unique Flasks
Divination Distillate is a crucial portion of Quant and Rarity. Typically the flask is a bit annoying to keep up due to it being a Life Flask which will turn off when you reach max life.
Master Surgeon makes using Divination substantially nicer as it allows the flask to always be active without any of the annoying mechanics behind it.
Progenesis is basically a chase unique for this build. It effectively doubles our EHP and makes it so nothing will really 1 shot us again except for the really really big hits.
Expect this flask to be expensive but if you can get your hands on one you will be ridiculously tanky.
You might have to divine it a bit to get it to 100% uptime but you really really want 100% uptime on this.
Otherwise we want to use Magic Utility Flasks.
Normal Flasks
The only 2 flasks worth running outside of the other Unique and Life flask are Quicksilver and Gold.
You can run a defensive flask if you don't want the speed from Quicksilver but I don't recommend it.
Flask Prefixes
On your 2 utility flasks, "x% reduced Duration, 25% increased effect" as your Prefix.
Flask Suffixes
There are 2 major Suffixes that we want to get on our flasks.
These can be gotten on any of the flasks but ideally put the mana one on the Quicksilver flask.
We need:
x% increased Rarity of Items found during Effect
x% reduced Mana Cost of Skills during Effect
Both rolls will need to be crafted from the bench and you will most likely need to get it from someone.
Make sure to ask the person crafting it for you to max roll the mana suffix to 25% as it will matter quite a lot for your mana sustain.
Gems
There are some very powerful jewels for this build that we want to be on the lookout for.
Elegant Hubris is a very crucial portion of making this build work.
Getting an Elegant with Caspiro will allow you to get Supreme Ostentation at Ghost Dance.
This allows you to not need a single attribute roll anywhere while also getting rid of every attribute node in place of tattoos.
The video guide goes over how to find one for the build.
Warrior's Tale is a new jewel added in 3.22 that makes all tattoos 100% stronger within the radius.
This is a great jewel that we are going to place by Charisma. This is going to either make Spell Suppression cap easy to hit or give you a significant amount of Rarity with Forbidden Jewels.
Forbidden Flesh and Forbidden Flame has a spot in this build. If you get a Quartz Infusion pair you can Spell Suppression cap for free while also getting Phasing.
This allows you to swap all Suppression tattoos with Rarity tattoos.
Watcher's Eye can go a few ways. As single mods these are all good:
Haste Onslaught on Kill
Haste Phasing
Malevolence Damage Over Time Multiplier
Id strongly recommend to go for Haste Onslaught unless you really need Phasing or the Damage from Malev.
Onslaught is going to feel good and make you more money per hour.
Bloodnotch is an amazing defensive layer that can synergize with everything we do to give us effectively 50-65% depending on the roll, instantaneous recovery on any Stunning hit.
We can combine this with the Energy Shield Mastery that makes our Stun Threshold be 60% of Energy Shield instead of life and suddenly almost every hit will stun us.
Now because we have ES that means that 50% of hits will automatically not stun us but even so, for the hits that do stun us, we will never really notice them.
This can be combined with Unwaveringly Evil on our Cluster Jewel to never be bothered while casting and Immutable Force to make the duration of said stuns so small that they don't impact your movement.
Cluster Jewels
For the Large Cluster Jewel in this build, an 8 Passive Large Chaos Cluster with Unspeakable Gifts.
Unspeakable Gifts is very important as 2 of them will give you a large amount of extra clear.
The other 2 notables can be any of the following:
Wicked Pall, Unwaveringly Evil, OR Touch of Cruelty.
Any of these work and id recommend to search for any of the combos as Touch of Cruelty combos are typically cheaper.
This will be very expensive and is not very easy to craft at all.
Unspeakable Gifts makes crafting these awful due to its weighting being low.
For the Medium Cluster Jewels you want 3 Chaos Dot Mediums and one Flask Duration medium.
You can either get 4 or 5 passive versions as they are the same.
On the Chaos Dot Cluster you have quite a lot of options, I prefer Flow of Life and Brewed for Potency but theres other options too.
Circling Obvlivion, Student of Decay, Wicked Pall, Unwaveringly Evil all work too, choose whichever notables you prefer.
On the Flask Duration cluster you absolutely need Spiked Concoction. Alchemist's Genius is way too good to not include in our setup.
For the other node Brewed for Potency is the best option but some alternatives are Special Reserve and Peak Vigor.
