Mageblood is not necessary for this build, but it can be hard to fit in Kaom's Spirit if you dont have one. On the other hand you can use the gloves for easy cold conversion, which frees up your ring slots.
Note: In my opionion it is smarter to play raider with icebite, if you want to play flicker strike with heatshiver.
