Have had the most fun this league playing Kinetic Bolt of Fragmentation. Mark effect charms and TWWT let us get an insane number of projectiles flying around. With Sniper's Mark and Lightning Warp on Spellslinger (or, at entry level, in a Poet's Pen), you are guaranteed to be right on top of a marked enemy getting max projectiles all the time. I sold off all my other builds, and have sunk close to 3 mirrors into an int stacker. It's a blast, and can be seen here: https://pobb.in/1w77AqNM-tvD
Here is a quick video of an 80% delirious juiced map so you can see the Spellslinger Lightning Warp playstyle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgCy39sRSuY. Notice for example at 17 seconds in, i teleport directly on top of a double-empowered Kosis and melt him. Having to set that up by moving onto him manually takes time, is annoying, presents extra opportunity for death, and I might not be able to do it at all because I suck at the game.
This got me wondering, would it have been possible to start with a low-investment KBoF and slowly build up to a stat stacker? I decided to roll a new character and try it out. I made an entry-level build, and progressively added or upgraded gear, and I think the answer is absolutely yes.
The below iterations all use Dance With Death, Marylene's Fallacy, Thunderfist, Malachi's Loop, Ralakesh's Impatience, and Shroud of the Lightless. It's a hybrid build, using Ghost Reaver to leech ES, and life on hit to recover life, so we're not just wasting the dcent chunk of ES that we get from Malachi's Loop and Shrough of the Lightless. I stopped short of actually getting a Mageblood for this new character but I think my cost estimate for that iteration is correct.
12 divines: Poet’s Pen. https://pobb.in/UeOxOzPScxZK
28 divines: Same as above but with a real wand that I crafted for 6 div. Single curse with 25% chance to treat resistances as inverted. That Which Was Taken with 25% Effect of Marks. 21/20 Sniper’s Mark needed without Poet’s Pen.: https://pobb.in/O63PoapjnQeW
65 Divines: Switch from Grace to Determination with new Watcher’s Eye and new rings to achieve strength requirement. Switch Jade Flask of Incision to Granite Flask of the Armadillo: https://pobb.in/CeHpB9VkTpHc
130 Divines: Sell off one of the rings and upgrade to a Nimis. Replace some Abyss jewels to meet strength requirement and cap resists. Add Less Duration to Spellslinger. Get to replace Returning Projectiles with Volatility.: https://pobb.in/pGrRI7GtMCOR
210 Divines: 3-Abyssal Shroud of the Lightless. +35% Reservation Efficiency Small Cluster (not strictly necessary, but I found one with a good strength roll which made other gearing choices much easier). +Attack Crit gloves: https://pobb.in/qF545ZmrVmC7
380 Divines: Mageblood. Drop Dying Sun for Diamond Flask of Incision. Get resistances on flask, drop resistances on abyssal jewels in favor of damage/life: https://pobb.in/grdo8DVBu9TE
Next upgrade I think would be Awakened Fork. After that, you could get 12 passive large clusters with intelligence and ES or all attributes, a new wand, and begin int-stacking.
Happy to answer any questions -- this was a fun experiment.
