TL;DR: This post turned out a lot longer than I meant, but the build is a 0 investment way to yellow maps. All you need to pay for in this PoB early game is skill gems which is probably like... 3 alchs and 10 alterations at most. The gear is blank to prove conceptually that it works.

Main Skill: Crackling Lance (it feels good for both AoE and bosses with only a few downsides in the form of cast speed and reflect. This skill can be swapped for any lightning skill really.)

Hello, so I'm prepping for next league (already got 38 achievements this league debating on pushing for 40) and something I got spoiled with was the idea that any map mod should be viable for my build. Reflection should not be a problem, stun immunity is a must, res cap shouldn't require half my gear. Most importantly as a templar I shouldn't need 155 dex for haste. Now of course as the league progresses and I get more money this build idea is designed with flexibility in mind. I can drop a lot of survival for more damage, there's probably a more efficient way to get what I've gotten.

Now this build is not going into T16s and blasting without gear. However with 0 gear (absolutely no items are socketed) assuming I can get a tabula and white items with 4 links I can get 140k DPS, 49% crit and 3400 HP. Not to mention I have about 14% life regen per second while casting.

Some highlights of the build:

Elemental ailment immunity (Purity of elements) - This could be swapped out with gear that does the same thing. I don't think it is worth the investment especially early game to do so. Also not sure what I would replace it with, though determination and vitality are both perfectly viable with the tree.

Corrupted Blood Immunity (this can be gained with a corrupted jewel and then you can get 100% reduced effect of curses.)

40% all res after second Kitava (100% to all res) just from the tree

44 dex - only need 68 for a lightning golem

CWDT for hydrosphere (to keep exposure up for bosses) and wave of conviction

100% reduced reflect damage taken (soul of yugul + elemental mastery)

80% reduced curse effectiveness on you with one divine font (through soul of yugul)

So the main goal of this build was a 0 investment way to deal with anything and mindlessly grind maps to T10. What I'm currently struggling with is stun immunity. Kaoms roots are the option I'm leaning towards (and you'll notice in the gem skills I left the boots empty so that's a 4 link to use as your heart desires.) Yes the build is lvl 95 in the PoB and I don't plan to get all the way there, but getting to lvl 90 on a budget build should be easy.

Late game goals for the build:

100% crit chance (mostly through increasing my int and str.) Attribute stacking to about 500 seems completely reasonable, there's some spell crit to be had from gear, and shimmeron is pretty budget friendly. This build assumes I'm using power charges, which I will need to get a source of charge generation (power charge on crit most likely.)

4 Mil DPS should be obtainable.

I'm looking for 85% ALL res (chaos included) on a budget of 10ex which is doable if I can figure out crafting my own cluster jewels. This is just more research into cluster jewel options, I already fleshed out a lightning jewel, but maybe a caster jewel would be better.

7k Health/ES pool, this is double my HP by the time I'm level 95. If I can get some decent Armour/ES hybrid gear this should be easy to handle.

Honestly gear is a very daunting task, and my crafting knowledge is limited. I started the notes tab with crafting for a lightning cluster jewel, but even that took about an hour of research and another hour of playing with craft of exile to get what I got. I would love some help with "good ideas" for budget gearing options, such as how to utilize early harvests, or even essence crafting. I realize this is a big ask, and I'm not expecting a paragraph but even just pointing me towards a good crafting guide specifically for early game (Zizaran's PoE university has helped me with the hyper late game, but I don't just want to try for BiS with ilvl 65 rares some mods clearly don't roll that low.)

Currently I'm looking at annointing "Throatseeker" (30% crit multi), or "Assassination" (25% crit strike and crit multi.) Depending on my crit needs. "Doom Cast" could also work if I need the crit chance, but I think I'll be fine on crit chance as I start to flesh out the gear.
