I levelled to 100 with Arakaali's Fang and Aegis Aurora, before picking up The Squire.
I'd tried The Feared at level 96 and it did not go well. After picking up The Squire and changing a lot of other things about the build, I did The Feared again and it went super smoothly. I wanted to see though, whether I could complete the fight with an Aegis Aurora, so I did.
If this were to be my full time build I'd swap out Hydrosphere for Vaal Molten Shell since I am not running Melee Splash while using Aegis Aurora. The only other difference between this tree and my tree with The Squire is I dropped an endurance charge in favor of 2% max attack block.
I did all the fragment farming and witnessed fights leading up to the challenge with Aegis Aurora as well. Even without Melee Splash, mapping feels really smooth. I've got over 500% damage scaling on the explosions from Profane Bloom and Asenath's Gentle Touch, so packs still just *pop* even though the spiders are only attacking one enemy at a time.
I've had so much fun playing this build this league, that I am seriously considering just running it again next league! It's been great to find a build that allows somebody who sucks at the game complete all content.
edit: For future reference, here is a pretty well min-maxed version of this build. https://pastebin.com/pPm4BCsT
