Updated due to PoB Update that changed Lethal Prides on 25-7-24
Intro
Hey there, welcome to Spraahz's 3.25 updated Frost Blades PoB
There are some BIG changes that come with this league, including the removal of ancestral totems and big buffs to all melee gems.
As a result of this, there is a lot of unknown and theorycrafting that needs to be done, if there are any mistakes in this PoB I will work to rectify them ASAP.

Frost Blades is
- New Player Friendly
- A Strong Map Clearer
- Great with low investment
- Big Deeps
- Whirling Blades + Frostblink for fluid movement
- Great Survivability for Softcore - Freeze, Leech, Life on Hit, Suppression, Fortify etc.
Frost Blades TLDR: Act 1 is shit, Act 2 is shit, Act 3-4 are ok, and Act 5 until the end of the game is excellent. I've never played a build that does all content as well as Frost Blades does. (Deep delve being the exception)
The purpose of this PoB is to give you an idea of what the progression of Frost Blades can look like on Warden and Trickster
If you want a leaguestart leveling guide, please head over to Zish's youtube where he just posted a guide (Link down below)
Use the new Loadout section up the top right of PoB to easily switch Tree, Skill gems, Items and Configs all at once
These PoB's were made before 3.25 release and under the assumption that the best enchant for us from the league mech would be +1 curse on claw, if there is a better enchant we'll need to drop eleweak
The new base types haven't been released yet so when you're looking at evasion and/or energy shield numbers keep in mind they will be even higher, this is also why i've kept lots of dex open on the tree instead of tattooing
The Low and High Budget PoB's have conservative configs so you can get a really good idea of how much damage you're getting at those points, but the Perfect PoB's have the configs maxed out so you can see the peak DPS possible
For example, Perfect Warden (Squire) shows 1.02b DPS but that is at peak (not including touching elusive because that's a bit silly), if you wanted an average DPS number at that stage it'd be around 700m DPS
Main Difference between Trickster and Warden?
Trickster gets huge charge duration, better Rage generation and ES Leech as an extra defensive layer (and the ES will be higher with new bases)
Warden just gets BIG DAM (literally 3-4 times more damage)
Slayer - I would've made PoB's for Slayer too as I do think it's a cool idea but I just ran out of time before leaguestart, if you wanted to play HC FB for god knows what reason definitely go Slayer
General Frost Blades notes
If you haven't used Trinity before (we use for leveling) make sure you have an element other than cold that will hit higher than cold regularly (Crafted lightning dmg on claw/jewellery)
You can drop Trinity as soon as you get a Heatshiver
Make sure you're continuously looking for claw upgrades throughout the campaign and into maps, a good claw is very important (attack speed, phys, lightning+fire dmg early, cold later)
Don't stand still! This is an evasion based build, the less things you get hit with the better. With Whirling Blades and Frostblink you're extremely mobile
Use the Lucky Suppress Mastery until you hit 100% Suppression without it (Suppress on full life DOESN'T COUNT! Blood Rage!), then swap to Prevent +3%
The best Accuracy mastery is close range, before you fix your accuracy you can use the +500 Accuracy mastery on the top cluster as well
Sleight of Hand, Life Raker and Aspect of the Lynx are all just extra points, when you swap to a Large Cluster you will drop these
The 5 attack points next to the cluster point are needed until you get at least +1 strike on your gloves, it's your choice if you decide to keep it until you hit +2 strikes on gloves or not
Don't swap to a Large Cluster before level 95
Your Large Cluster needs to have 3% attack speed and 35% effect at a MINIMUM. 3-4% damage or 9-10 Max Life are the best 2nd prefixes, and any 2nd suffix is just a bonus
Don't run Ele reflect, and Cannot Regen is very annoying, you can run if you want but I wouldn't bother
The Eater map mod Reduced Defences per Frenzy Charge is very deadly, be careful with it
Why not Farrul's Fur / Expedition's End / Tecrod's Gaze / Legacy of Fury? Because they're all terrible, if you really want to know why ask in stream
Why no Circle of Fear? Taming is 10 times better
Why no Lightning Coil? It was a viable option before 3.25 but with the removal of most other sources of Phys taken as, I don't think it's worth running anymore
CAPPING ACCURACY - Blind, Close Range mastery on bottom cluster, High roll on gloves and level 1-2 Precision is enough to Accuracy cap
CAPPING CRIT - Base crit on claw, Bottled Faith, Diamond Flask, Flask suffix, Brittle, Mark Effect Tattoos, Power charge corruption and Precision levels can all be used to crit cap
CAPPING SUPPRESS - You get 62% from the tree so you need 38% on gear, 19% on chest + 19% on shield is good, or you can do 22% on chest, 14% on boots and a single 2% suppress tattoo
CAPPING ELE RES - With very good rolls on Taming, Yoke and Heatshiver, you only need 3 T1 Resistances on your rare gear to res cap
CAPPING CHAOS RES - You need 135% Chaos Res to cap, which means you need it basically everywhere. An Amethyst ring helps a lot here early on
CAPPING ATTRIBUTES - You need +53 strength and +27 int on the build somewhere. I highly suggest geting a +20 strength node on your LP, as this lets you cap attributes with a single veiled Str+Int roll
(DISCLAIMER - Veiled Orbs were NOT changed in 3.25 and as a result are likely going to be 15+ divine each. I still recommend getting a 20 Str roll on LP, but find the attributes elsewhere)
RESERVING MANA - To drop the mana wheel, you will want a Heatshiver corruption of Socketed 90% Reservation. End-endgame with enlighten 4 and squire, you can even fit another 50% aura if you minmax hard, but it's not really worth it
To do all of the capping above, you need 11 of your 18 available suffixes on rare gear
Suffixes are VERY important on this build and you shouldn't settle for low rolls
Prefixes are much less important, just get some life or damage and maybe a crafted mod and you're good to go
T16 Regex - 80% quant - no Ele Reflect or No Regen "!tal d|gen" "m q.*([89].|1..)%"
Lastly, a BIG thanks to Zish for his leaguestart and crafting guides, introduced me to this build a few leagues ago and haven't looked back.
