Hey guys, as per the title, I followed a CoC Ice Spear build from this guide for simulacrum farming: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3273362/page/1

The damage was insane, but I was also getting absolutely wrecked randomly, and could never go past wave 23-24 without losing all my portals/exp. I ended up making some changes to the build and ended up with this : https://pastebin.com/TuJuNcd8

The most notable changes I made were dropping skitterbots for determ/molten shell. At waves 15+ the damage reduction was too large for my character to properly sustain mana through essence sap, so I dropped the vortex+bonechill links to add enlighten, allowing me to run clarity to sustain mana, which allowed me to change my amulet anoint to soul of steel. I also dropped some of the crit multi to max my chaos res, and dropped one of the medium clusters for a Megalomaniac with more defensive nodes. I had to drop militant faith since it converted the small strength nodes to devotion, to which my strength and dexterity are already stretched really thin.

I invested in a +2 shavs/ corrupted cospris, and +2 prism guardian to try to compensate for the damage loss, and in total I sacrificed about 10mil dps from the original pob to have about 7mil, along with substantially more phys reduction, chaos res, and a bit of max resists.

I'm now able to complete wave 30 sims, although I still die sometimes so my exp gain isn't as consistent as I would like. I definitely notice the damage loss, as it takes me some time to kill the mobs, and Kosis takes quite a while longer to kill past wave 26 ish. Is there anything you guys can recommend for me to change/improve to squeeze out a little more damage/survivability? being able to drop the node for +30dex would be great as well, but I have no idea where to get it, as my resists are already barely scratching max as well. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks for reading guys.
