The damage in the video could in theory be doubled , as i only have HALF the damage of the pob linked. It also had only like 60% crit, no annoint, awfull rare jewels ETC. The build could be MUCH stronger if geared well.

So i've wanted to give LST a shot for a long time now but seismic came in and just became the superior skill . With it being so dominant i decided to look into LST as a backup. Since the skill is pretty similar in scaling i just took my poison seismic tree, slapped some crit nodes on it and a cluster, a few gear swaps and here we are.

Scaling LST is very interesting. It has a lot of things going for it, like strikes, duration, AoE, and having a balance of all of them is pretty important. Gem levels scale how often it strikes, throw speed also scale strike frequency, duration scales how many total strikes there are, and AoE scaling lets you overlap.

AoE seems to be not that important. Most bosses are big enough to be hit by 2-3 strike ( With enchant, didn't test without ) so going overkill here isn't needed ( unless you wanna go like carcass and get 4 hits always or smth )

Crit is annoying and i hate it, why is it so hard to get good crit on traps? I go for crit clusters over trap for that reason, i think the loss of throw speed is fine. The like 2 AoE radius loss might be bad but i'd have to test it.

Duration is pretty simple, path to scion, click the nodes. It last ages and if you can get a boss to sit in it they will melt. Do not get the CDR alt qual its annoying.

So yea thats LST, im very interested in playing this skill next league. It seems like an amazing boss killer and Lightning Trap is a joy to clear with. Any ideas you have are welcome!
