Has loadouts of where the build was during each snapshot of progression. Made some changes to previous iterations of slow slam builds that I've done before.
Build tl;dr:
- Earthshatter, Slow Fist of War Slam, 2H Staff, Physical Impale, Hits Cannot Be Evaded, Crit
- Chieftain for Infinite Warcry Power, and easy 90res. Melee rework gave a lot of damage and defenses so leaned more into the tankier side. Jugg's Unstoppable from Forbidden Jewels.
- Echoes of Creation and the new Overexertion Support for big damage. Enables Vengeful Cry from self-savage hit
- 14mil Max Hit Slam + 11mil Impale, 9mil spike + 8mil Impale. I assume 2 spikes hit unless it's against a wall where all 6 spikes can shotgun. Only deals 45% damage when not Berserk, outside War Banner, without 80 Rage from Vengeful Cry
- Ok map clear, Seismic Cry consistent area of effect now makes big slams. I don't use leapslam since I'm gated by Fist of War 1.8s cd anyway.
- Settlers League – Black Market a godsend for campaign coupled with Chieftain's easy resistance gearing. Runecrafting local phys% on weapon was about 8.5% damage
- Uber Viable. Not facetanky, but can take some hits and degens with Enduring Cry and max-res.
- Total Cost - 62div over the first 2 weeks. League started without issue, melee felt a lot nicer to start
Gameplay:
Fist of War. Slightly less piano since we autoexert 3 warcries, but this is still a 6 button build. Press things before you deal more damage. Frostblink into position.
Mapping is casual, mobs arent very threatening. If anything you deal more damage to yourself with each savage hit slam. Armour/Block is main defense and is where my deaths came from. Anything that alters armour/phys reduction and increases damage taken is what makes Echoes of Creation scary.
Bossing is nicer, build is made for consistent bonks, but it takes a bit of management of buffs and positioning to maintain uptime. War Banner area takes timing and commitment to get its damage buff.
Defense:
- 5.5K Life, 38K Armour, Determination, 3 Endurance Charges
- Recovery – 500~1300 Regen (Enduring Cry), 15% heal on casting warcry, recoup ring suffix, life leech
- Mitigation – CWDT Molten Shell, 90 ele res (Ruby Flask active), Warcry Debilitate, Arakaali Pantheon, Sand Stance
- Avoidance – 65%/49% Block/Spell Block (65% spell block with Staff Mastery stun while mapping)
- Unstoppable's immunity to action/move speed slows, Chill, Freeze, Warcry cleanses poison/bleed. Shock effect reduction with Pantheon and Flask suffix.
- 75% chaos res
Offense:
- Physical Slam. Impale. More.
- Rage, Berserk, War Banner, Vulnerability, Blood Stance
- Vengeful Cry. Very important to manage. See PoB for self-hit damage in calc tab and make sure to find all sources that will change it. You're aiming for a 15% of Life savage hit
