This is a weird one. This build is more of a showcase than a guide, but there is some fun stuff happening in this build and I wanted to share it here. Smite Necromancer sounds like a meme (and it kind of is), but there is a very powerful connection between the Smite Crucible node and the necro ascendancy.
Corpse Pact gives you 2% attack and cast speed for each corpse consumed recently (last 4 seconds). Smite's crucible node consumes corpses on killing blows with Smite, which also heals you for 5% of your life. So the more monsters we kill, the faster we attack! It's like rampage on steroids.
This doesn't come without problems though. The kills must be smite killing blows, so no explode, ignite prolif, herald of ice, Oriaths End, etc. To fix the clear, I scaled massive area of effect. This results in really nice screen coverage as well as unbelievably satifsying Vaal Smite screen-deletions.
The next, and biggest issue is corpses on bosses. I assume this subreddit will have some better ideas than what I came up with, because i rarely play necro style builds. On single target we have a 6 link setup with Desecrate, Phantasmal Cremation to consume corpses, then 3 offering skills to consume even more. I have the Corpsewalker boots for additional corpses. This setup allows us to wear the Leash of Oblation belt to get the effects of all three offerings when combined with Necromancer's "Mistress of Sacrifice."
All in all this build worked out WAY better than I expected, and while I wouldn't necessarily recommend folks to play it as is, I wanted to get this interaction out into the world and see if others can iterate on it. As always, enjoy!
