Hi everyone I wanted to type this up to showcase my journey from week 2 starting this build to the more min maxed version I have now and my take on the build. I will discuss some rationale and build decisions. This will be part 1 of my take on poison molten strike transcendence pathfinder.
Starter Build: 10-20 Divines (could be significantly cheaper depending on your gems and ability to snipe items and self craft)
This is about what I started with after my league starter. If you want something uber cheap follow jungroan's assassin build because that build is made to be as cheap and efficient as possible. As you can see we are already able to cap pinnacle dps at level 80 and it's already pretty tanky. You get a lot of power out of the tree as well so it will only get better as you continue to level.
The Dagger:
The most important thing to have is a good pneumatic dagger. I self crafted this dagger including the crucible tree for around 5-10 divs.
1.You want to spam essences until you get 2 ele mods you're satisfied with then you need to pray you have an open prefix or prefix you can either yolo annul or annul off if it doesn't have an attack tag by crafting cannot modify attack modifiers and then annuling.
2.Then you simply multimod hits can't be evaded (most important mod) and atk speed. Your suffixes will depend on what you have, if you don't have room to multimod then you'll need to craft prefixes can't be changed and then scour the suffixes so you can then multimod. You can finish the craft off with a yolo exalt or yolo hunter ex
Shield
Get a well rolled dawnbreaker with 18%+ phys taken as fire and then a corrupt with 7%+ phys taken as any element. They shouldn't be too expensive now, just shop around
Helmet:
Get a good armor base and slam deafening essences of loathing on it til satisfied. If it has everything you want including life and has a open prefix you can even craft on phys damage from hits taken as fire damage
Amulet:
Ungil's harmony allocated with vengeant cascade will be your best friend for the majority of the build cycle. This thing is insane especially if you have a pneumatic dagger with +6% base crit like I have here. For those who don't know poison can crit for a set 1.5x multiplier (without taking perfect agony). The downsides that you see on the crucible tree and ungil's harmony do not affect this multiplier meaning we get a bunch of free crit chance which is very powerful. Make sure to catalyze it to 20%.
Rings:
Chest:
I want to spend a little time discussing the chest along with transcendence. My starter chest was lightning coil because it more easily allowed me to approach 100% phys damage taken as element conversion (along with taste of hate and dawnbreaker). I combined that with a militant faith that grants transcendence as my defensive layer.
At this stage you can choose not to run transcendence because it will cap your resistances at 60%. I personally did not have any problems with this and was able to do invitation farming(formed and twisted)/juiced T16s without any issues.
Gloves:
A couple options here but regardless you're gonna want a pair with curse with temporal chains on hit corrupt.
My preference and what I think is the absolute best is tanu ahi. I'll explain my setup in my midgame setup that allows me to achieve 100% uptime on adrenaline and onslaught.
Other options are snakebite early on to cap poison chance when you don't have the nodes on the tree yet. Asenath's are garbage, they stifle your poison prolif making clear actually worse. Kaom's spirit could be a viable option if you built around the rage regen. But at the end of the day I don't think you can beat tanu in both value and power.
Belt:
Chains of emancipation is a very underrated belt that gives you crazy high berserk/rage uptime as well as curse immunity. All you need to do when mapping is get hit by an enemy, and press the life flask with remove curse on use and you're at full rage. It's an amazing tech that I ran for most of the league.
Boots:
Rare boots to fill in res, life, attributes, etc. Slap on lab enchant for more damage.
Flasks:
Life flask with the mods in POB
Ruby flask with mods in POB (you need the inc effect and mana cost)
Taste of hate with 15% phys damage as cold taken (or as high as you can grab)
Quicksilver with choice of mods, I went for bleed immunity here
Granite flask with inc armor (important if you're running transcendence)
Jewels and Gems
The way of the poacher forbidden flame/flesh are completely optional. They were just a cheapish way of generating frenzy charges at all times including bosses. Your other option is an anomalous blood rage which is actually better because it frees up your gem slots (just slightly more expensive)
Militant Faith
Grants us transcendence which is -15% to our max res leaving us at 60% but in exchange our armor is now an additional defensive layer against ele damage. Needs High Templar Maxarius.
This one is important, aside from grabbing one with Maxarius and increased elemental damage and effect of non curse auras you need to make sure the seed does not mess up the notables you'll be taking on the tree. I don't know how to search for militant faiths in this way exactly but you can shop around and copy paste your jewel into the POB jewel slot to see if it modifies your tree in any way or not.
Gems
Just get the best gems you can afford whether awakened or not. I recommend the ones in my POB. One of the first big upgrades I grabbed was awakened GMP. Awakened multistrike was literally the last upgrade I bought for the entire build because it isn't that much of an improvement on divergent multistrike.
A very important alt quality gem is divergent herald of agony as this gets you a total of 40% chance to poison from one gem. You want to be pretty much at 100% always, and you can check your chance to poison in POB.
The rest of the gems are standard affair, can do a CWDT molten shell setup ofc. Change things up here as you see fit.
That concludes part 1 of my build guide. I will post a part 2 to show you my mid/late game setup that was able to do everything in the game easily including wave 30 sims and all uber bosses.
Edit: Re-estimated prices at current market. Very easy to get started at 10-20 divs while keeping the upgrade path open for a true transcendence setup swap.
