tl;dw: Look into this mastery if you're doing anything hit-based with ele damage. Mark on hit is an excellent 2-link option for attack-based builds that reserves no mana (but still uses the mana cost of the mark!) for automating this tech btw
btw in the equation incase it wasn't obvious (to be fair I edited it out); the calculation for our final total damage output was 20,000 assuming the inversion mastery procced; 10,000 + 50% more (enemy's resistance is -50% due to inversion) + another 50% more (from our pen) = 20000
