Here's my spin on a Summon Reaper build! I wanted to try something different and felt like roleplaying a necromancer / grim reaper, and I succeeded quite well. Using Despair Herald of Purity and Phantasm let's us summon souls and ghosts to accompany our Reaper.
Mechanics:
I wanted to try something other than Asenath gloves, so I tried out Gravebind. This essentially allows us extremely smooth mapping, since our Reaper and consequently other minions constantly respawn themselves. I use Herald of Purity with Phantasm, stacking a shitton of minion movement speed, which makes them clear entire packs in seconds. For tougher enemies, recasting Reaper will take care of that. We use Ensnaring Arrow on those and bosses to immensely increase our DPS. We also have Flesh Offering, which I keep forgetting to use. Gravebind allows us to use Voidwalker, which makes us essentially perma phase during mapping, giving additional avoidance to projectiles and letting Ensnaring arrow pierce packs. Builds also great for Sanctum cause it's minion based.
Defense:
- Good amount of armor and molten shell
- 5 Endurance Charges that are pretty much always up
- High max elemental resistances
- Time of Need, Searing Purity for chaos mitigation
- Curse Immune
- Feast of Flesh
- Army of Minions to draw aggro
- Cast on Death Portal
It's not the most tanky build, but we aren't squishy either. It can take quite a punch and got alot of recovery through Devouring Diadem and Guardian ascendancy. Worst case scenario, we have CoD Portal.
The biggest problem is balancing elemental resistances, which I fixed using elegant hubris with a specific seed. Damage isn't that high, capping at around 7mil DPS, and I pretty much stopped playing it around 86 cause I wanted to try another build. It's been more of an experimental and very unoptimized test than anything else, and it could use a better bow for sure. It's essentially a inferior version of the Jugg version posted here, but costs alot less.
