Hello everyone
Want to share a way to play discharge that I decided to focus on after bringing up a thread about The Traitor Keystone in 3.15.
Initial concept
- Using Realm Ender as it grants cold conversion and levels (this kind of bypass the 3.15 nerfs as a damage boost)
- Pyre with elemental damage quality for extra 48% cold conversion
- Malachai's Artifice to trigger Elemental Equilibrium on Storm Brand
- Doedre's elixir now hit yourself for 50% of max life as chaos damage. This can be further reduced with chaos resistance to 12.5% on default chaos resistance cap.
- The self damage is being used to trigger a level 1 cwdt wave of conviction (fire exposure) with hextouch high level flammability
- doedre's elixir with the traitor keystone for usage each 5 seconds (or when you get charges from clearing packs)
- There's 30% flask charges gained from essence extraction cluster and 20% from Fasting cluster jewel notable (this build uses both components of it: move speed as the flask is instant due to blood magic and the extra charges). This nets 24 charges every 5 seconds due to The Traitor.
- with 20% reduced flasks used on belt, doedre's elixir with the minimum charges used roll uses 25 charges (its wrong on pob). To fix this, I had to allocate Arcane Chemistry for 2 points, which grants 1 mana flask charge each 3 seconds.
- Enduring composture cluster jewel notable for an extra endurance charge each second as the flask counts as a hit taken
- Since there are no flasks to clear ailments, this guy gets shock immunity on tree with Annointed Flesh + Ash, Frost and Storm + Arakali Pantheon (100% reduced shock effect)
- Essence Extraction grants "clear a random elemental ailment on mana flask usage". So Doedre's Elixir can clear freezes with some luck
- Admonisher (annointed) is used to clear bleeds and poison. With Anomalous Second Wind and Anomalous Enduring Cry this is very fast and highly available. On top of that, I got an enhance 4 on my league starter and for extra warcry speed.
possible changes
- Thinking of dropping the high level flammability and add increased critical strikes support or another spell like orb of storms to raise the uptime on elemental overload. If it is not near 100%, this bothers me too much.
- Helmet enchant +5 discharge radius might be better if there's enough damage
- Drop Supreme Ego and fit arctic armour as it grants freeze immunity
- There are some alternatives to the 25 flask cost: use the nomad/tactician/magnate belt for a total of 100% flask charges granted each 5 seconds (so 16 x 2 = 32 and the flask costs base 31); get a notable with 10% increased charges gained from Brutal Restraint (its possible but hard); Rework the tree for another cluster jewel with flasks charges gained; Rework the tree to use a different amulet annointment for more flask charges gained (druidic rite or primal spirit for instance)
