So I have been trying to have an impaling build that ignites and use the blackflame ring. Blackflame ring for the exclusive reason of I like purple. So I was trying to figure out how to do it without sacrificing too much from one aspect or the other. Been using the weapon Paradoxica to try to mitigate that. Going with the idea that if I can get 100% physical damage as extra fire I can just stack physical damage and the fire I get will be enough to ignite.
One of the issues I have been having is my ignite is a little low. I thought that by having fire damage equal my physical damage my ignite would be high. Another thing is how to stack physical. With Paradoxica I thought the route would be to simply add # to # to attack in whatever form I could (whether that be physical, fire or to sword). But now I am thinking of trying to increase the whole of physical with modifiers like % increased instead. But I don't know what would be stronger. And that isn't even considering projectile
As to why I am trying hard to mash impale and ignite together well why not? I like impale and I like fire. Oh and I really like purple fire.
Any tips or advice is appreciated.
Build so far is still very much a work in progress so forgive the messiness of the pob.

EDIT: ~~So my build is not going to work. My assumption was that the damage from the "modifier gain x% of physical damage as extra fire damage" would count was the weapon damage and paradoxica would doubled it. So my thought was get the flat physical really high, double it. Then add 100% of the physical as extra flat fire damage. Then paradoxica would double that as I would use the weapon to hit things and the fire is flat damage. Then get ignite chance to 100%. But I did not realize the "Weapon" was a keyword and not just describing the ability. That "Weapon" is the physical damage the weapon deals. So it would not double the fire damage. So for future people trying the same thing. It won't work.~~
EDIT2: My above assumption was wrong. Paradoxica will double every flat damage once. The doubling happens at the end of the equation. I thought that it would double each flat damage separately not all at once.
