The advantages of this build are

  1. very low cost to start. The first version cost me a grand total of 12c and the current version with all costs accounted for was 178 chaos (I didn't count the chromes and jewelers I spent). It could be even cheaper with a cheaper jewel, that 30c was unnecessary, I was playing with the new PoB tool, added my stat filters and saw this one, couldn't resist. For a few chaos, you'd get a jewel which delivers but 1-2% less DPS.
  2. It's so much fun -- to me at last. Never had a 200%+ movement speed build before that can map reasonably well. Permanent phasing, permanent phase run for increased stealth allow you to run through everything if you don't need to kill.
  3. There's enough DPS. It's not awesome of course but we have 1M chaos DoT DPS. I could do all my maps up and including corrupted 8 mod T16 maps. Haven't tried more juice yet.
  4. All map mods are viable. At first you'd think no leech wouldn't but I ran a no leech Ancient City and didn't have mana sustain problems, likely the two small "life and mana on hit" nodes flanking Clever Thief carried the day.
  5. Reasonably good survival. 40K evasion without flasks, 93% spell suppression, element ailment immune, chaos res is positive, we have a little armor. If we are not one shot then Ghost Dance provides the opportunity to get away from a second shot. During combat life leech and on hit gain from the aforementioned two small nodes ensures we are usually at full life or so.

Now the question: I have item rarity on the helmet and both rings. Does it make a difference? No idea. I was told a little will go far this league and so I have them. I already had a Divinarius drop. Who knows? If you do, please don't hesitate to tell me, though.

I went overboard with AoE. As per this post we only need 26% AoE which the gem and the amulet together happens to have. Getting to 37% resulted in a mere 2.2% DPS increase. I have not realized this until I wrote this up :)

Edit: one more realization about AoE: you can get a corrupted Ascent From Flesh with 10% AoE (10c) and a 23% quality level 20 pConc gem (4c) and that puts you at 37% with a max unveiled amulet. The crit on the amulet does nothing for us, we are DoT not hit based so don't bother with it. Before doing this I swapped to Devoto's Devotion with pConc damage enchant and I have taken down an Elder Guardian with it.
