First off, i understand that i have a lot of max fire res so the phys taken as fire mod brings in a lot of value, but i would still expect Defiance Banner to be better (at least for mapping).

On paper the second option shows higher EHP, but i don't think it takes the critical strike chance reduction from Defiance Banner into the calculations? Or is it really just not that good anymore for pure armour builds as the critical strike chance reduction is additive. Defiance Banner has diminishing results as monsters in maps get a lot of crit chance (200-400%) so maybe the phys taken as fire implicit just brings in that much more value than an entire aura in this case?

This build is only being used to push for xp in HC. But this kind of info would probably be useful to know in the long term.
