sirgog's Notes
3.15 update: I don't recommend this without extensive reworking of the build now. If you are an experienced player feel free to rework this but know that it will need a lot of reworks; if you are a new player, I don't suggest this at all and I can't recommend anything very similar either.
3.13 update: Whilst I haven't updated the tree, the core concept of this build is very much viable in 3.13 with slight changes in passive pathing. The Deadeye has changed considerably and this build will be slightly weaker than it was when I played this in Metamorph, but still good enough.

Elemental Hit is a skill that performs extremely well on very low quality gear.
Mines provide opportunities to scale Elemental Hit's damage without needing conversion shenanigans and jewels which can be extremely rare at league start.
Despite recent nerfs, it is still fine.
This character as presented doesn't focus heavily on defense. It's SSF friendly but not really HC friendly - if you want to adapt it for HC, consider going Raider instead.

Swift Assembly versus Minefield Support:
Try both. Swap between them as needed. Video footage is shown with Minefield.
Levelling 4-link: Blue-Red-Blue-Green
Use Elemental Hit - Elemental Damage With Attacks Support - Blastchain Mines - Swift Assembly as soon as able.
Upon acquiring a Tabula Rasa, add Charged Mines Support and Trap and Mine Damage Support, and consider swapping Swift Assembly for Minefield Support.
Mana Reservations: War Banner, Precision, Skitterbots
Other skills are entirely flexible. Experiment with guards (I like manually cast Stoneskin), golems (I like Ice Golem).
Item goals by level 80: Tabula Rasa A Harbinger Bow, item level 75+, crafted with Prismatic Fossils to get at least 85% Increased Elemental Damage with Attacks or Increased Elemental Damage, and crafted increased mine throwing speed
Item goals for level 90+: A six-linked Harbinger Bow, RGGBBB, ilvl 75+, crafted with Prismatic and Pristine Fossils and having all of the mods mentioned in the level 80 version, plus "Increased damage while on full life". Kaom's Heart or an alternate defensive chest Good rares in other slots (subject to review as the new influence types become understood)
