edit - As another pointed out the Meat Shield was wasted. I have updated the POB to put Shield Charge w/ Fortify in the chest piece and have scaled back the gems that weren't helping with my skele explisions. Updated the POB link below (I also took some spell block out, but that's just to reflect my actual level).
edit2 - Major changes to chest armour (no more 6l required at all) and weapon per conversations had here. Replaced Flam curse with Cold Snap for frenzy generation and threw an onslaught jewel in the belt instead of Minion damage for move speed mostly.

This build has so much damage scaling potention with Minion Damage, Burning, Fire, and Minion Life all contributing. We really focus on the damage over time aspects for this version to allow us to map very cleanly.
Key items are an Invictus shield with +1 to socketed gems, trigger socketed spell with Fire/Burning/Minion damage and cast speed, Maw of Mischief, and Berek's Respite. Maw for the obvious reasons. Trigger to keep up our Storm Brand and Bone Offering. Berek's to proliferate the ignite out and wipe the entire map up with very few explosions required.
Defense are mainly around Block and the life regen inherent in the Bone Offering whena pplied to self. We also utilize Dodge where we can pick it up (boots mainly) and Enduring Cry to heal/generate endurance charges. Our CWDT setup gives us Immortal Call and Storm Shield. With high investment this could hit 8k life, but I'm tanking DIE!!! beams at 6k right now. Also, we have minions to tank a lot of damage for us (one major reason I don't scale spell block as far as I could).
The playstyle is very satisfying. On 1/4second channel you'll explode a sentinel or two and that is far more than enough damage for mapping. We use our Skeletons to buff up our explosions on bosses as well as to kick us off generating sentinels while mapping if we run out or at the start. Most everything else is on auto-pilot.
