With the changes to monsters HPs, our damage reduction and survivability, I think it's time to dust off my Bodyswap chieftain. I cannibalized this one from an obscure 3.1 and 3.9 builds, where the first one was truthful, the other had half the damage boosted in typical POB warrior, fashion and was crit based, and brought it to the modern age of 3.15.

POB Settings: Shaper, no bullshit damage multipliers
Flask off, (except MS-old one).
Vaal auras off
RF OFF (can be probably turned on).
Vaal RF Off
Hexproof (curse off)
Skills:
Wave of conviction mine ON (Fire exposure)
Siphoning trap ON (based on condition of enemy affected, not hit or kill)
Enduring cry, set to BURST settings in life regen calculation mode.
Charges:
Power, Frenzy charges ON (charged traps, condition: trigger)
Enduring charges ON (Duh, you are chieftain with enduring cry)
Items:
7 out of 13 lvl 20 Curse ON (Soul Mantle)
Enemy hindered (Singularity)- not sure if it does something but hey.
Others:
Onslaught ON (Condition, summon totem).
Lost endurance charge in the past 8s ON (cwdt immortal call)
Stop taking damage from Dot recently ON (Shaper degen balls)
Taken fire damage from enemy hit recently ON (15% from hits taken as fire ascendancy)
Ignore the -99% unreserved life, POB cannot calculate free life aura.
Now, that we've got this out of the way, let me tell you what this build can provide you:
CHEAP!
Based on current prices (7/27)
Singularity 1c
Tukohama Fortress 2.8 ex and rising (Not needed, since we are running both of the keystones, just get 30-60c +1 totem rare shield, the damage loss is minimal).
Malachai's Awakening 10c
Soul Mantle 6l 4.7 ex (Not really needed, you can easily run it on 5L for 20c and lose about 10-15% shaper dps).
2x Kikazaru 10c total
self flagellation (19%) 20c
Clear mind (50%-used in the build) 20c
Cluster jewel (5ex, with one notable 50-100c) Again, if you don't use it, you lose about 5% damage and onslaught, so nothing to be worried about)
Rare gear: Gloves boots amulet belt. You get 100% fire res from ascendancy and the res from tree, so look for cold, lightning and chaos res. I can't tell you how expensive it is because this cannot be predicted.
MANA sustain issues introduced in 3.15
Mana is a dirty word, BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD
Defences and benefits:
Almost 6K life
6K BURST life regen, 2-7k normal life regen, 1k if you haven't take damage from dot recently)
Each totem leeches to you 1.7K when they explode and 1.2k when they explode corpses
You are not running labyrinth, you are on a Sunday stroll.
100% CURSE IMMUNITY! (rings + tree + The "increased effect" from map mod is getting removed. MASSIVE BOOST).
100% PHYSICAL REFLECT IMMUNITY (No phys damage)
100% (ish) ELE REFLECT IMMUNITY (Your totems will die anyway, that's their purpose)
100% STUN IMMUNITY (Unwavering stance)
100% IGNITE IMMUNITY (ascendancy)
EFFECTIVELY 60-80% BLEED DAMAGE REDUCTION (Corrupted blood included), due to massive regen, leech and 75% less physical damage taken from immortal call
EFFECTIVELY 50-70% POISON REDUCTION (↑)
OVERCAPED ELE AND CHAOS RESISTANCE
BUDGET TEMPORAL CHAIN (Nearby enemies hindered with 25% MS reduction)
FORTIFY (Shield charge)
and a bit of armour
FULLY TWEAKABLE
If you are still dying, you can drop 30% of your damage for Vitality aura and change flammability for enfeeble. You can change your helm, your weapon, your shield, you can use alternate skill gems, you can use whatever flasks you want (Wise oak recommended)
You can get freeze immunity if you manage to fit in Cyclopean Coil. It is possible to do so on this setup, but you will lose 40 % chaos res and a bit of life.
DAMAGE BOSSTERs:
RF (Yes you can run RF with this setup thanks to the life regen)
Vaal RF
All 13 curses (not sure if possible)
Vaal haste (i don't know if they reworked the interaction with blood magic)
Wise oak
This should at least triple your damage.
Cons:
Active play style. You will not sit on your ass and watch Netflix, this build requires frequent recasting or totems and desecrate, but you can afford running around.
Manual ele curse. It's a damage bonus only used with tough ecounters, but some people might find it annoying
Siphoning trap and wave of conviction mine. Sometimes the targeting is bit wonky and you need to recast to trigger them.
You can kill yourself if you are in a reaaaly bad (like SNAFU level) situations. One totem costs 226 life to cast and we have 4 of them, which means to cast 4 of those you need to pay 900 life. Luckily, after that they don't cost anything because they are not considered as trigger. RF degens for 1k life too
Damage. POB is really weird when it comes to this, but basically you will have about 300-500k shaper DPS unboosted. Might be more or less, I didn't kill shaper this league yet :D
Welp this turned out a bit longer than I expected, but it also helped me to summarize this build in my head.
edit: Added storm brand to proc EO (you can use orb of storm), self flagellation, clear mind price update and optimal rotation.
Also, removed con effect for ele focus. You really want that juicy AOE bonus.
edit2: They did something awful with charged traps and siphoning traps, so use charged mines. It's MUCH MUCH easier to get charges.
