Hi Everyone,
I decided to give LS a try for the first time this league. I wanted to league start a build that I could clear all the game's content with without re-rolling another character since I hate leveling through the campaign so much.
First off, I played Helix until about level 92, and that was terrible, and frankly I don't think I really want to repeat that process ever again. It was tolerable in the campaign, but not having the gear needed in a league start scenario to make switching to LS feel good until level 92 was less than ideal. However, around level 92 I was very fortunate and dropped Omni when I fought Searing exarch, and was able to build my character for omniscience and make the switch over to omni, which was also my first time using that amulet. I see why the amulet is so sought after, as when your elemental penetration gets to 120%-200%+ it's absolutely crazy how you start to melt everything in the game.
All in all, this is the best character I have played in my 2,600 hours playing the game. This build can handle all content in the game better than anything else I have tried before. I have over 120m DPS, 90% all res, 77% Chaos resist, 90% physical damage reduction, 91% chance to evade, 100% spell suppress, 100% ailment immunity, permanent fortify, permanent onslaught, elusive, and phasing, and unlimited mobility with whirling blades (infinite dashes). I was able to complete my first wave 30 sim, Feared, and all uber bosses except Uber Sirus and Uber Maven which in all honesty I only tried once each just haven't gone back to try again since. It also doesn't need mageblood or headhunter, and in fact, perseverance is just straight up better than both of them. Headhunter might be better if you are doing double beyond crimson temple maps, but outside of crazy crazy juicing scenarios, perseverance just makes your dps soar, and it rewards you for building crazy defenses (armor and evasion) in to your build. There is no ramp up period with perseverance like there is with Headhunter, and the only real benefit I found with mageblood was the movement speed buff. Outside of the movement speed buff, MB was a big DPS loss.
I was over 200m DPS, but dropped a lot of DPS (ended up at120m) to be able to incorporate Melding of the flesh to hit 90% all resist. One of the items I had to drop to be able to make melding work was dropping the blizzard crown, and adding black sun crest. The added attributes on that helm, in combination with the +1 socketed gems was what made melding possible. I also had +1 frenzy charge on my shield and on one of my rings that I had to drop to be able to add more attributes to help with my resists. DPS was not my issue in the UBER fights, it was the big hits, and Melding really helped with that which is why I ended up making those changes.

Here is my final POB for anyone interested.
The build went through so many iterations to get it to where it is at this point, so if anyone has any questions about any part of it, or what different stages were like I am happy to discuss it.
One final note, the POB is currently showing my mapping setup which includes Inspired Learning which I find makes mapping feel much faster due to the occasional boosts in speed and projectiles. My mapping setup only has 88% resists. If you want 90%, I swap out the inspired learning for an Impossible escape jewel with Imbalanced Guard to pickup "Prismatic Skin" to get the last two resists capping me at 90%, and I also pick up the node "kinetic impacts" which gives 5% double damage. I drop the extra power charge and frenzy charge by the inspired learning to be able to pick those up. It gives me more damage, and better defense, but the movement is slower which is why I don't prefer it for mapping.
