Sai's Notes

**********************Disclamer!********************** This PoB is an edited Version of Captain Lances PoB: you can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eL6L-aZw-Q His Version is very well made and i still have some left overs from it esp in this note Gearing section! However his original PoB is made for Softcore in mind. In My Version I tried to Focus more on keeping the leveling section safer so more HC-Friendly. Hence no Dual wield but going for a Shield, Determination Aura, etc. Also I tested successfully a viable Mapping version (also for HC) right from the get go in case you dont like Sanctum So a special thanks to Captain Lance giving us this spectacular Sanctum-Rush Leaguestarter: Sanctum will get nerfed but in my Opinion it should still be good currency early on! you can also farm the unique jewel on low level Sanctums and sell the wither on hit jewel for quite a bit. I personally will go an elementalist do the Quest sanctum and then start mapping. (I hope i will be able to make a guide for that build but not sure if i will be able to). Act 1 (For Tree look at the different Tree Sections) Vendor Regex(use in act 1/2): b-b-b|b-b|nne|rint Since we can input way more charackters now up to 250 consider using the peo regex website to create even more things like +1wands etc. -Try to pick up Goats Horn wands early (with the flat added spell dmg implicit) (you can also check Vendors) dual wield or use with a shield. I added an example in the Act 1 item section -Try to get some cold and fire Resistance (Saphire ring before Merveil) Early on we prioritize Orb of Transmutes, since we need a lot of them: Skills Act 1: 2x, 1 for each resistance craft u want to do and in Act 3: 4 to 8 Orbs are needed for the Fire Spell Craft on Weapons. -------> this means we dont want to Id items and sell them. The only items u want to Id are those that are likely an upgrade Links: Frostblink - Arcane Surge (or Flamedash) Rolling Magma - Ele Prolif - Combustion Shield Charge or LeapSlam (For LeapSlam u need to swap to Offhand set up using Axe or Sword (Sceptres are too slow)) Holy Flame Totem, Vitality, FlameWall if you want also Clarity Act 2 Bandits Quest Rework!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if u want to go really fast ---> Help Alira ------> +15% all Res, Help Kraityn -----> +8% Movement Speed Help Oak ------> +40 Life Kill All Bandits: +1 Point Dont forget to do the Golden Hand Job Quest now for 1 Skill Point I will help Alira since capping Resistances is quite the pain with this build later even in Late Game Get Arctic Armour (Freeze Immune and Tank while standing still, pretty good. Makes the Spider fight easier. Also with Arctic Armour you can open any Strongboxes), or get Herald of Thunder (DMG) For Links Look at the Skill Section For your Shield: Prioritize resistances and Armour Beast Quest: Heavy Belt (we are starved for Str early and u might even need to take a +30 str node next to Elemental Overload) Check your Fire Resistance before going into the Temple Ruin. You want some, doesnt need to be capped (Around 30-50) If u go ShieldCharge, look for better wands with better flat dmg implicits (can increase ur dmg by like 50%) Consider using an Essence from Act1 on those wands or on Shields Act 3 Get Res Capped or close to for Dominus fight Switch to Determination, stop using other Auras or try out what amount of free Mana feels good Use Flammability (u can stop using FlameWall if u have Socket Issues) With LvL 24: Craft Fire Spell DMG on your Weapons (big DMG boost) you will need 4x Orb of Transmute per Craft Amulet Reward: Choose Dex Amulet Kill Gravicious (High Fire Resistance needed) LvL 28: Skill Swap: stop using Rolling Magma, Start using Armageddon Brand + Cremation (get Desecrate from Act 2). Also stop using Holy Flame Totem For 4-Links Look at the Skill Sections LvL 24 and later after 2nd Lab for the Crit Swap If you want to you can also go for the Aura Cluster (Sovereignty) and get more Auras into your Build: eg. Determination + Purity of Elements or + Haste or + Arctic Armour Act 4 First Lab = Battlemage: Prioritize high flat damage weapon in mainhand(sword or axe that you id with high flat damage (upgrade as you find better weapons while leveling) Get Stone Golem or Lightning Golem (later in Sanctum u want to use Lightning Golem) After you get Eternal Blessing Support you can think about getting a Malachais Simula: When you get it use Vitality on Life (Free because of 10% more Life from Blood Magic) and Determination - Eternal Blessing -----> Mana Problems go away and u get 20% more Spell Hit DMG. Downside is that u cannot run 2x 50% Aura or any other smaller Auras in your Set-Up. Act 5 I like to Overlevel in the Chamber of Innocence: We dont want to rush Maps anyway and we even need to level to Level 70 in the Campaign. So there is no real reason not to level in this amazing Zone! Restart the Zone over and over until you dont get 1 Level per Zone (around Level 48) -------> makes the rest of the Campaign much much easier, makes it easier to get the Resistances needed for Act 6, U need to level to LvL 70 later anyway. U can rush through Act 6-8 with barely killing anything. Act 6 Buy Gems from lily(act 6) to Level in offhand: Spellblade support / Lightning Golem / Eternal Blessing / increased Crit Strike / Assassin's Mark / Discipline (you can also consider trying to level transfigured gems here as well) Also Start leveling Haste, Descipline, Purity of Elements (useful for early Heisting) Act 7 Better Fire DMG Craft in the Beast Cave Zone (2x Orb of Alchemy needed) Try to reach 2k Life for the 2nd Lab Act 8 The Toxic Sewers Zone: High Chaos Dot DMG (consider to use 2 Life Flasks, Stone Golem if leveled or get some amount of Chaos Resistance. Also dont stand still) High Gardens: if u are running Haste instead of Determination use Determination in this Zone When u reach LvL 60 do the Heist Quest: Start buying Demolition and Lockpicking Contracts (1 Orb of Chance each. u can convert Fusings to Chance Orbs). The Vendor refreshes every time you level up. But dont run the contracts yet! Act 9 If you want to safely farm the Betrayal Encounters i highly recommend getting some Chaos Resistance (u dont need much to be safe just be positive around 20%) and to use Determination Level in Foothills to around LvL 65 and try to get some hybrid Chaos Resistance unveils from Betrayal Encounters Act 10 do 3rd Lab (dont do Desecrated Chambers yet) then Start doing the low level Heist Contracts. Do these for as long as you want or until you get all the items eg. Malachais Simula, Ghostwrithe, ....., and also maybe a good Ring with cast speed. After u got all the Gear u need for your Quest Sanctum Run continue leveling to LvL 70 in The Desecrated Chambers. Dont change to the Sanctum Gear until u are LvL 70! Dont kill Kitava Righteous Fire of Devotion got hotfixed for Bloodmagic I personally will use an Animate Guardian (AG) with no Support gems linked to it. it doesnt die in the low level Sanctums: Animate Guardian Gear: Leer Cast Festival Mask, Dying Breath, Iron Staff, rest of the slots just random rares and or uniques to get res capped ele and chaos (AG base Res are 40%) This 1 Socket will give you around 15% more dmg which in my opinion is worth it I tested the Monkey Spectres for frenzy and or Power charges but the uptime was not high enough for me to consider them (although in some rooms i got 2 frenzys which ofc is nice) Mercenaries!!!! Mercenaries will be a very big improvement to sanctum builds!!! They wont die so u can go all out on utility and Buffs: Try for Wrath and or Zealotry Aura and or Smite. Any Speed buff or cast speed buff will be good! Also if the Mercenary will slow its good for you. perquils Toe for lucky dmg Special Spectres: The Good Spectres might be costly and you dont need them esp since we will have the Mercenary. In case you still want to use them here are the Best once: 1. Perfect Forest Warrior gives you onslaught 2. Perfect Pain Artist gives you crit multy and Zealotry 3. Perfect Spirit of Fortune (best one for dmg but also priciest) gives u lucky dmg and Wrath Aura Links would be Spectre- Minion Life - Meat Shield - Animate Guardian In Case you need more Respec Points: do Act 1 Side Quest (a dirty Job and clear the Fetid Pools) for 2 Points, also if u did some Heist Contracts you should have picked up a few Regret Orbs. Worst case you need to buy some Regret Orbs from Trade You Made it! Swap to your Sanctum Gear, Tree and Skills and start owning Sanctums (Be sure to be Resistance Capped, with also very high Chaos Resistance) I would honestly wait killing Kitava until u get to the Ivory Tower Balbala set-up Dont run Maps with this Set-Up. A Variation of this build is also Viable for Mapping (even on HC) It uses vaal Arc for clear and Penance Brand for single target. See the links in the skill Section and Mapping Tree for Passive Set-Up If you plan to map dont forget to level Vaal-Arc, and another set of inc crit support, crit dmg support, spellblade supp and faster casting supp. in the offhand. Mercenary for Mapping: Choose a defensive Mercenary! endurance charges, fortify, taunting ability, etc If u want to do maps i made a Mapping Variant where u will go instant Leech, Grace and Ghostshroud with a Evasion/Es Hybrid Shield (Look at the Tree Variant and Gear) I tested this Set-Up on Hc up to T10 (use the Currency u made in Sanctum for a good shield and automate your flasks) Make sure to Cap Your Chaos Res (Tree and or items!) After Reaching T10 Maps I would use the new Atlas Passive Skill Tree that you got for a Farming strategy (eg. T6 Blight Farming, T1 Temple Farming, Strongboxes, Deli, .....) Until u can afford Balbala + Ivory Tower (softcore reliable set-up) or any other build u want to go for (uberdan has a build guide for explodi penance brand set-up which is really good as well) I also tested doing up to t16s with some minor upgrades and going for a 5 link Ghost Writhe. It felt really nice still. Make sure to use BrineKing Pantheon to not get permastunned! ********************************* Gearing ****************************************** EARLY 1st Ring: Lori's Lantern Decent res + movespeed + Damage unlucky solid defensive(very strong for price, only need one of these) 2nd Ring: Rare Life/Es + Res ideally with Cast Speed since Penance Brand scales really well with duration and Cast Speed Consider Timeclasp but only if u can snipe a really well rolled one (increased skill effect duration with high attack and cast speed) also u need really good Resistances on shield and belt so rather unrealistic Helmet: Malachais Simula Mandatory Body Chest: Ghostwrithe Mandatory Amulet: Carnage Heart / Bloodsoaked or Mediocre Rare amulet will do (Goods stats on Amulet: Dex, CastSpeed, Life/%ES, Crit Multy, Resistances) Boots: Rare with life/res/high es/movespeed or SinTrek Boots ( I go for the Stun wheel. I like it more than Kaoms Root) Gloves: Kalisa's Grace Use PenanceBrand of Dissipation here Belt: Rare Heavy Belt (Good Stats: Str, Life, Resistances) Shield: Rare Titanium (Good Stats: High Overall Es, Life, some Resistance) Main hand weapon:(any one hand weapon like sword/axe with decent base attack speed (relevant for boss death ball phases where you can turn off e-blade and still leap slam around)) Mid-Game Rings: Rare Fractured t2 highroll+ Int/Str/Cast Speed -> catalsyt attribute -> essence of rage/spite till decent life/es or okay suffix with benchcraft life Amulet: Astramentis (around 40c) Helmet: Crown of the Inward eye (After you Allocate Blood Magic on the Tree), but with the Base chances and high possible es roll and life rool a Rare Helmet is maybe the way to go Belt: Cyclopean Coil Boots: Rare Body armour: Ivory Tower (Tailoring Orb Craft: inc. Defense before linking) Shield: Rathpith Gloves: Shaper's Touch Weapon: one hand weapon with abyss socket (One Socket resonator with Hollow Fossil) other stats dont matter End-game Rings: Rare ilvl 82 Helical Ring fracture Chaos Res, then Essence Spam, suffixes can't be changed veild chaos Amulet: Eyes of the Greatwolf: %Life, %Attributes, %Global Defense, Cast/Attack Speed, Crit Multy , Simplex Amulet with Awakener orbed %str + %attr -> anul benchcraft life on prefix(or veiled chaos) Helmet: Crown of the Inward eye Belt: Cyclopean Coil Boots: Rare fracture t1 Str/Int + Fundamental/Sanctified/Hollow Fossil combo till T1 str/int + abyss socket -> suffix can't veiled chaos + block slam Body armour: Ivory Tower Shield: Rathpith Gloves: Shaper's Touch Weapon: one hand weapon with abyss socket Any spell hit skill is viable JEWELS To Look for: Rare Jewels: %life/%es/Str&int/All attribute/Crit multi/cast speed
